hey Ironmen,
I was recently diagnosed with cancer ( to much velveeta or something) and at 15 years old it kind of sucks. I really love paintball and can't play for the next two months while i have treatment. I wanted to know if you guys have any good drills i could run by myself since i can't play. (i shoot a piece of crap gun but want to upgrade sometime) I want to train hard and still be at my best for when i can once again enter the sprot i love. TRhanks a lot.

oh and one more question. The goggles i have (came with my p.o.s. gameface ready to play marker) are terrible as far as fogging up goes. What are your recomendations as to a type of google system to buy. I have little cash and can't even practice without going blind. Do you guys have any old goggles lying around you would sell for cheap?

any JT or V-force mask...
you can pick up a JT X-Fire for around 20 bucks
and almost any V-force mask will work, and you can find em for cheap
and as far as drills go, i have no idea, all my practice comes from playing...
anyways, good luck, hope you pull through with it

here's what you could do, practice your snap shooting. use any thing like furniture as a bunker and practice behind that, or you could practice positions behind a bunker that could improve your game, this may sound a little strange, but my brother is really good and he does this all the time. so give it a shot. and you need a good mask so maybe get some jt ones there not all that bad.

Hey buddy, I submitted a pretty thorough list of drills you could do bedside and submitted it about two weeks ago, I'm sorry I didn't notice until today that it didn't go through for some reason (frustrating - all the typing!)... Nay for DSL!
I'm in the middle of finals right now, but here's a quick compilation off the top of my head:
Trigger fingers - learn to shoot ambidextrously (sp?), if you've already started great, if not now is the time. This will help muscle memory in your fingers and make your game more versatile.
Being Comfortable with your gun - you want your marker in your hands to be second nature. Easy way for you to do this is to practice shooting with both fingers like previously mentioned, switching hands, and if you're watching TV you can help your reaction and response time by starting with your marker facing some other way than that of the target, then just shoot targets as they come up (if you're watching TV) and check back. This really helps with those first few shots which are vital.
Reloading - get a pod and fill it with somewhere between 1-10 paintballs or reballs, practice shooting (even pulling the trigger as fast as you desire) while using the other to open the hopper lid, retrieve your pod (if you can't put a pack on your back, which I assume you can't, put the pack to the side, just get accustomed to retrieving the pod from the pack), load without losing any paint, and close the lid - all while keeping your eyes on your targets and the field. Get used to doing this with your good hand and off hand just like everything else.
Snap shooting is another one, already mentioned (as was the trigger thing).
Good luck with your battle, I've had several cases in my family and my prayers are with you. What type of cancer is it exactly? I hope that at your age you should be on track for a full recovery, let us know how it goes.

heres what i do on rainy days and stuff, carry your marker and as you go around corners and stuff pop the marker up and click the trigger for a few shots. just like coming from behind a bunker.
also you can do stuff like open the refrigerator and after about one second close it and try to name from memory what was where in the fridge. it will help your memory and speed so you spend less time in the open
that sucks about your cancer...what kind is it?

thanks for the love everyone. I just finished chemo and am starting radiation. only side effect from chemo that won't go away is the loss of reflexes in my legs and a little muscle detiriation
