Whats Wrong!!!

Okay well ive upgraded my drop forward and ive got new barrels for accuracy but im still having a problem! <_< My spyder e99 Avant chops more than usual! it would chop like 1 every 75 balls! :blink: I have an evolution that i use on it and still chops! I also lubricate o-rings but same result! Ive been thinking if it was the bolt. But if you ahve any suggestions please say.

Yeah, you know the knob at the end of your marker, how far is it turned in? (aka velocity adjuster)

what kind of paint r u using. take you bolt and try sanding down the inside edges of the bolt. it will be able to cup the ball better and you will have less ball breaks.

You're problem is it's a blowback marker, the only thing you can do is turn down the feed rate on the egg, get a lighter main spring and a lighter bolt, I recommend the Bandit bolts (http://www.banditpaintball.com) they are nylon so yo ucan lube them, and they weigh nothing, very high flow too. the paint MAY be an issue, but any paint will break when a bolt hits the middle. I still say the first thing you should do is mess with the load speed of your hopper.

Seriously though, try turning down the feedrate of the hopper. This does tend to decrease ball chops. But if possible, work on making your marker a bit more efficient, this way you can go with a lighter mainspring wich will put less force on your bolt.

In all the years I've owned my TL+ I think I've only chopped 5 or 6 balls. Albeit it doesn't have an eframe on it, but this testifies to the fact that just because it's a blowback doesn't mean it is going to chop ;)

Well 280 really isnt that bad. I have had my friends Xtra(yeah thats right an Xtra) set at like in the 300's. It only chopped like twice out of the 3 hours I played. He doesnt have an Electro Hopper either. Nor any custom ACS things done to it. Try putting your velocity lower for a little while and see what happens. You could follow the advice given by the other members to check our your bolt. Grinding or sanding might help.

i had the same problem w/my fenix and i bought a centerflag delrin ACS bolt and i havent broke a ball yet(over 8 cases).it was only $30

What are u talkin about? His gun shot over 300 and kept goin all the way to 327. I didnt want to shoot it again, the thing waz going insanely fast. So I weakened it up. You dont think I shot a guy with it on 327 did u?!
