flatline barrel

i am a new sniper with tippman 98 custom. should i stick with a flatline barrel or a different one. If a diff one, which one?

A different one. Flatline barrels have a longer flat trajectory than other barrels, but they really don't shoot any farther and does nothing for performance. They're also not very accurate. For the price of a Flatline you could get a DYE barrel which would be %100 better. For a lower price range you can get a 32* Whisper barrel or any number of cheap barrels that are nice.

do i have to install the shroud with the barrel?
