i was wondering if the phantoms are hpa compatible and if they r @ what pressure do they run Thanks :D

Yes they can. I'm sure they probably run off of highpressure. FT Phantom runs hpa on his. You can ask him.

Hehehe, corrupting another one we are :D
You are gonna love pumpin'! Your eyes are going to be as big as dinner plates the first time you hit a field with it and find yourself in some dire straights ;)
However badly you get creamed when starting, don't give up. It is just natures way of telling you how much of your game was relying on your 98C instead of your "game". But this will develop quickly... at least it will if you prefer to stay on the field instead of the dead box :D

Doorman I think by now you've figured out I like to draw paintballers to the dark side of the paint. B)

You have all wrong young apprentice.
Semis are the dark side. Pump players win through using the forces of thought, movement, position and knowledge of the marker.
And; whoever heard of a Dark Phantom? ;)

You're right. That makes sense.

Both are good markers. The CCM feel is like an autococker. If you like that feel then you will know pretty much what the CCM feels like. The Phantom is featherlight and overall a bit closer to a rifle (if you have a stock).
It's kind of like comparing a finesse against brute tactics....

Having a Chiplye I can help you out a bit. It has an autotrigger(never use it), the pump stroke being under the barrel is comfortable and ultra smooth and the slide trigger is ultra soft. It's closer to what you're used to using, having a gravity feed hopper and constant air. You can always get a 12 gram changer and Action Markers stockclass feed neck later if you wanted it to be stock class, but for that I'd get the Phantom. Now I'll let FT take over about the Phantom :D .

The "dark side"...
I knew there was a reason I kept coming back to this place.
I would agree, phantoms are super light, unless you put an 88/45 hpa tank on it and a stock made of ipe/aka ironwood on it :D Very good markers none the less, add the consistancy of hpa and you have an eliminating machine in your hands. I've never met anyone on the field ever complain about their phantom. Funny how pump players always seem to find one another on the field too, even in big games... But that is another story...

We came to the conclusion earlier, that it's the Light Side, and that semis are the Dark Side. Since when have you seen a Dark Phantom.LOL

You misunderstood my post, that conclusion had been reached well before "Mikerules" or "Cassie" ever hit these forums, I have been swayed by the "dark side" and returned :P
And as for a "dark" phantom, the CCI factory black ones always looked best to me anyway ;)
Personally, the phantom is just a bit to light for my taste, I may have to try a T-stock on one to truely appreciate it...

And, you have returned again.
Delving into the Dark Side, every now and again, is a adventure everyone can enjoy from time to time.

I am sad to say that I have been around , and playing paintball long enough to see the " good old days" when you only heard rumors of semi- auto guns made by somebody other than Tippman. I was there when tournaments were pump only , what a blast. I still have yet to get a decent semi.

I saw the comment on the descent semi and was wanting to argue with you on that, but, I can't come up with a good one.
I thought of the AC and Shoebox Shocker, but, both are very demanding of alot of TLC and understanding not to mention the much greater cost.
Some of the newer emarkers like the Matrix/DMs and new Shockers came to mind, but again the cost and need for TLC to keep them in top performance killed any comparison.
I have never had to spend hours of my time to maintain any of the pumps I have or had to keep them in good working condition. Completely cleaning and maintaining my Shoebox once cost me more in time and effort than I have ever had to put into my Phantom.
Thinking about it that way, I have never had a descent semi. I still like my VM 68 and Shoebox, but, the Phantom does put them to shame in every way except rate of fire, and, BPS is overrated anyway IMO.

F.T. Phantom , in short , lol on the decent semi comments. I always liked the fact that lazy people could maintain pump guns. I`ve never done this , but I have seen people use a garden hose and an air compressor to clean a pump gun , good luck to the fool that tries that with a semi , lol.
I always tear my phantom down and clean and lube after a day of play , just a ritual. A show of my appreciation for the outstanding performance I always get from her. I almost like my second Phantom as much as my first.
The first game I played with her I picked her first victim well , the guy that sold her to me.......her vengance. He really regretted his switch to a PMI3 that day , thats when I got the offer to join the All Americans amateur team , but they wanted me to get a semi , so I declined. Many moons ago....lol
The last dozen tourneys I played in , I had to show proof after every game that " you got hit by a pumper" , or " thats a pump that sounds semi" , lol
I just say , " it`s a rythm thing........you would not understand."

You can clean a Rapide with a water hose. Been there done that. But, it is technicaly a double action and not exactly a top performer. Give me a Splatmaster over it any day.
Only had trouble with my shooting speed twice. Once a new player couldn't believe I pinned him down with a SC pump and the second time I was accused of overshooting a player also with my SC Phantom ("slightly" modded with a HPA tank). I shot him twice. Should have shot him three times. He was attempting to play on and take me out with him but couldn't find me. We were on a speed ball field to make it worse on him.

I haven't been around as long as you fellows yet, but I know what you mean about playing with the pumps. Many of times after a game I let the guys I tagged 3 or 4 times(hehe) that I was using a pump. They always get freaked out. Also newbies never believe I can do any good with a pump. I've never had a 'good' semi either. I had a modded Spyder Compact for my first marker, but that was a while ago. I guess when I'm your age I'll have some 'back in the day' stories LOL. I'm not calling you old though. HAHA ;)
