i have no idea what airsoft is....but, yes, a good beginer gun, the led things tell you what shooting mode the gun is on. the guns are decent for the money, but what specific spyder are you thinking of getting? yes you can use them in semi auto tournaments, yes you can us them in the woods. just remember that you'll want to get an electric hopper and a barrel, so keep that in mind with your budget. spyders are great begginer guns and theyre very easy to clean and maintain.

yes spyder emarkers are good beginner guns if you play speed ball but if you are going to play woods ball save the money and get a simi

I agree with the whole Spider is a good beginer gun. I just started with an Xtra. I live in Florida, because of the hurcanes some of the paintball guns got damaged. So I paided $74.00 for a Spider Xtra, A Drop Ford, 12oz CO2, 12in Barrel, Hopper, & 500 Paint. Oh yeah DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT get an electric hoper they get jamed realy easy.

I would definitly gie an electric hopper. If u have a barrel that is longer than a stock than u should definitly git an elctric hopper. It depends on wat hopper u git sometimes. Some brands are just some dirt-cheap stuff that hardly works, u gotta watch out for those. O yea, wat i just said up there relates to a real gun i am talkin about that iz a Spyder Xtra with an Electric Hopper and non-stock barrel.

imagines are alright. yes it is possible to play with it in tournaments.. electro spyders come with a jumper. take it off and you lock your gun in semi mode. which is exactly what they will do. but if you are a beginner.. and play in the woods. buy a semi. get a tl-x or an xtra and save yourself some money. mechanical semi's take alot more abuse. and when you're ready you can always upgrade with a emarker frame

1yes they are decent
2it is possible to use in a tourny on semi not burst
3yes you can use it in your fields (your field your rules)
4there is a button on the back of the trigger frame that you push to change the mode, semi, 3burst, (6burst sometimes), and full auto
5you might be better with a mechanical first gun but if you have to money get the electric
you will need an electric hopper to feed the balls fast enough for your gun to shoot: evoulution2,haloB, or empire reloaderB:they are all reliable hoppers
