Is a Proto Matrix worth it?

i was thinkin about getting a proto matrix and i wanted to know a few things first before i got one i want to know if its a good reliable gun which i figure it is i just want some of yur input on it like if you would recommend it or not. I also wanted to know if it would be a good tourny gun? One of the last things i was wonderin about too is how fast they shoot? So i was just wondering if u guys could help me out. Thanks

They shoot plenty fast, there like most high end guns you have to take really good care of it but i would recommed it.

I heard very very good things about the Proto Matrix. It is suppose to be very reliable and a good tourney gun. It is suppose to be just as good as a DM4 anyday but just lighter. All you have to do when you get it is a few upgrades. There are legal chips that I know that make it rock very fast, and it already goes fast out of the box.

In the future I plan on maybe getting one, either that or a reduced cost DM5. If you decide to get one I would wait after the World Cup, I heard rumours about a Proto Matrix 06 coming out for the new year. That would reduce the cost of the Proto Matrix 05 a lot, making the price lower.

ya its a good tourny gun, you just have to take care of it after you play.

I got mine used thoe and it wasnt that reliable.

i can fire 12 balls per second with my proto matrix and its really accurate. its definatly worth it!

my 05 proto can shot up to 30 but it cant becuz a hopper cant feed that fast i have gotten mine to 21 (i have a pred board) definently worth it air effecient tooo! i wouldnt trade my gun for a dm6 or pm6

think i know find a hoper that can FEED 30 like i said and my proto can shoot as fast as it can cycle if a hopper can feed fast enough ur the noob im a gun tech a bbt in orland park IL certified through shocktech

ok this is a major thread ressurection on someone's part, but a proto can do thirty with an upgraded board, ive seen one clocked at 30 w/ radar at an event.

i don't care who your certified by. all 4 way silinoids from scm and humphry settle down around 20-25 cps. unless you redesigned the bord to accept a 14 vlot battey and made a hybrid silinoid then it woln't do it. just becuase something can click at 30 cps, dosen't mean it will cycle at that. now i feal like pulling out the old phisics book and seeing if 30 bps is posible with paint. i imagine the force of the hopper would break the paint. i guess that why reballs are good.

no wow you know nothing i have my recharge rate maxed to go with my solenoid my gun can cycle at 30 IT CANT SHOOT AT 30 BECUZ A HOPPER CANT FEED FAST ENOUGH IF A HOPPER COULD IT WOULD BE A DIFFERENT STORY ur the only one who think its cant custom pro also agree's your a noobie and dont even try to argue with a gun tech you wont win.

I wasn't saying hes a noobie, he has some good knowledge, im just saying I have seen a proto clocked at 30, it is possible, also im pretty sure a halo B with a cheetah board and a bone in it could hit 30 bps...not entirely sure on that though...

well i mean its only semi... so for once somone has to use some skill and not a ###### machine gun...but my fingers are fast and it my new 06 shoots like a dream...its so accurate.. and quiet...its a must buy

its not only semi, it has ramping out of the box I believe, and with an upgraded chip I know you can put it on uncapped ramping, three shot burst, six shot burst, full auto on some chips and such, its not only semi.
