i have been toying with the idea of installing a low press. sys. on my a5, but was told i should just go with a low press. nitro bottle setup instead because its apparrently cheaper.
The only problem is, is that i get co2 for almost free. <_<

wats the deal, and wats better???

Well, if you just put a low pressure tank on your A-5 it will not operate correctly. The A-5 operates at 800-850 psi..which means it needs a high pressure tank. The only way a LP tank would work is if you were to buy the LP kit for it. I would guess that the LP kit would be a good upgrade. I've actually lowered the operating pressure on my A-5 from 800-850 to 600 by using an adjustable reg and new springs. I'm not sure what the LP kit drops the pressure down to..I would guess around the 250-350 range. I'm not speaking from experience but I would imagine that if you get the LP kit you will also need a titanium hammer (lighter weight for low pressure)...those run about 60 bux if I remember correctly. Try going to pbreview.com and see what others think about the LP kit.

the lp kit comes with all the ness hardware including the hammer. In talking to the tippy techs, they say it drops your pressure to about 450 psi, and that's the absolute lowest they can get the cyclone to work at. I have yet to see the advantage of the LP kit. I run a Palmer's Stabilizer on mine. To setup for the day, I turn my velocity adjustment all the way out, the slowly bump my pressure up until the cyclone works consistently. Then I turn in my velocity adjuster in until I am at 297. I get about 1400 shots off a 20oz at +/- 3fps.
