Re:Invitation to Participate in the Asia Pacific Paintball Championship 2005-APPC2005

With reference to the abovementioned,we would like to extend our warmest invitation to your goodselves to come to Malaysia in Sept 2005 to participate in the APPC2005.

The tournament will only be as good as the attendees that graces it.We hope to make the APPC a landmark tournament in the Asia Pacific region and with your assistance and participation,we feel confident that we will achieve a high measure of success.

The tournament is recognised and supported by the Govt of Malaysia and a successful event will mean continued support for our beloved sport.

Please step forward to be counted and on our part,we pledge to make the APPC2005 an event to be remembered in the Asia Pacific region.

The APPC will be a 5 men tourney.2 reserves allowed.

Open Category-

For all regional teams and div 2 team from Europe and the USA.Strictly no playing or retired pros,semipros or div.1 players allowed.Teams identified with such a player will be disqualified.

Am/Novice-

For new teams consisting of at least 5 players that has not taken part in the open category before in the Nation Cup or Asian Cup.All overseas regional teams will be classified as an open category team unless vetted and approved of prior by the organisers.Limited to use of markers below USD300(List price) as of June 2005.

EURO REFFS FOR THE APPC2005

Guys....we have lined up 7 of the top reffs in Europe include of the man from the Millennium,Mr.Ulrich,to reff for our event.

They will also be conducting a marshalling course down here for those interested to marshal for the PALS in 2006.Those who pass will be certified as Millennium and PALS marshals.

Do sign up....this is a wonderful opportunity not only to learn but potentially to be invited to marshal at international events.....limited to only 30 trainees.

Priority to the future partners of the PAL Series.

I hope that the judging system will be better than the last tournament. The inconsistancy was terrible. I know that a few teams were pretty disapointed and feel that it was a waste of time even going. Looking at your new information, I must commend you though, anything to help the sport is okay by me. Let's just hope it's better this time round.

I heard the reffing left a lot to be desired.
Members of Legacy, Dynasty, and other teams that regulary play NPPL, and a Taiwanese team wins?????

Sounds suss to me.

Blantant cheating abounded, from what I heard, and I also see that a player was ejected from the tournament, for pointing out that someone was cheating!!!!!

PS. Why ask anyone French to reff?

Shank54...the pros did not compete...they were our guest of honour.Of course they would win if they competed.
The marshalling was actually pretty reasonable.Will only get better as the marshals here in Asia learns more.
