Proto is a subsidiary of Dye. They're stuff is the same as Dye stuff with a different name and little bit different looks.

and cheaper but probably just as good of quality.

To answer you question. Yes proto is a great company, if your talking about the proto matrix, it is comparable to the dm5, better than dm4. "accuracy" comes down to paint to barrel match.

Well... I think they only make one but Im not sure if they made anything else thats not selling online now or what. I dunno ask DoorMan.

and yes they only make one marker the proto matrix its a cop off of the other DMs just cheaper, it is smaller and lighter and shoots just as fast though.

let's get this Straight anything PROTO is quality,NO DOUBT!!!..and the PROTO MATRIX,is like a cheap DM4,but i think the PROTO looks cooler!

I have been looking at possibly purchasing this marker... but what exatly is the difference between the proto and dye versions. Do they have the same internals etc.? I guess what im asking is, if i buy dye am i paying more because its a dye product and not necessarily any better?
