The only difference is the way the pump handle is connected to the bolt.
The Maverick has two bars running along side the body and connects to the bolt by screws through the body.
The Hornet has a rod running under the barrel from the handle into a groove in the body. It fits into a hole on the bottom of the bolt and is held in by the body.
The under barrel rod set up lets less dirt into the body. I have used both and can't realy tell how true that is. Never had a problem with dirt in my old Trracer.

it is said that an undercocking system is more advanced, but like FT, I see little difference when using either of them. There isnt a large price difference from what i recall. I believe the undercocking version retails for 5 dollars more...

The Maverick is the same as the Trracer that FT had and I currently have. It's a good little marker and the side bars don't do much other than expose more of the bolt as said.
Hey bax, you need to hang around more bud :D
