i've currently own or have owned all three. i don't think i will ever buy a phantom again. not that there bad guns but i just don't like the pump stroke. and i see phantoms all of the time. i like a gun that is a little different. and i usually don't play compleatly stock class because of the price of 12 grams so my ccm dose the job for me.

CCM>>>>WGP. WGP Snipers don't even compare to Chipley pumps. Phantoms are nice to, but I'm with Marine Man, Phantoms just don't do it for me.

Auto trigger, 86* frame, and a lifetime warranty. I think they have good efficiency, a 68/3000 fill lasts me a while. Not sure exactly how much, because I always refill it when it hits 1000psi left in the tank.

ccm's have better efficiency than snipers stock. rite now i have my ccm and wgp at the same efficiency. about 400 psi per 200 rounds in a 68 ci tank. a ccm is much lighter than a wgp, ccm's have threaded feednechs and some wgp's don't. the stock ccm bolt is one of the best flowing bolts that i have seen. and the ccm reg is an exelent reg. and there's the little things like the detents are 10 times better than wgp's. the trigger frames are top of the line. not a single hint of grit. and he stock ccm barrel is a great barrel and will take ccm incerts.

The SS25 is newer. It has a feed neck similar to Spyders and is easier to stock class. It also has a single finger swing trigger which is nice and the reg looks different. That's about all the difference I can see. It might be milled some, but I'm not sure. The frame is also a 45*, no longer an 86*.

I have an S5. The SS25 is just newer and is better capable for stock class play. I really like the single swing trigger on the new SS25, but 86* slider frame is really awsome and it's different. You might try www.wevopaintball.com (http://www.wevopaintball.com), I'm not sure if the have the S5 on there, but they do have the new SS25.

wevo can get you any ccm that you want. he orders from ccm all of the time. the best way to get ahold of him is to fill out the contact form or sign up for this forum (http://invisionfree.com/forums/StockClassPaintball) and PM wevo.

i was looking through wevopaintball.com and looked at all there phantoms to. some of those look real sweet..any input on any of them?

yellowpumpguy

Phantoms are great, they just don't have the pump stroke or trigger pull of a Sniper style pump. I also prefer an under pumping handle and you can get them for Phantoms. If you want to play with a stock class pump, by all means get a Phantom, but if you want to have a regular hopper most of the time, get a CCM.

SInce you live in PA, you should try to make the Marshals pump only days at EMR. They can show you how it is done. Check out EMRs site and see when the next one is.

Joeha plays those days with them. They seem to have a pretty good time. Been awhile since he posted. He was a mod before the format switch. You could PM his account.
