I have one on my tippmann 98 and it is way more accuate and cooler looking. It is hard to put on though, if you dont get it just right it will shoot paintballs sidways. but for someone who has a dyedmc you should not need one!!!!!!!!!

Way overpriced and overrated. Everything Tippmann makes is like this. I don't get why people like tippmann paintball guns. They are quite possibly the loudest markers available. Loud marker + woodsball= BAD.

First of all, the thing of "The Flatline Shooting balls farther" is a myth... It shoots it about 5 feet farther..... Second, its for back people and is sooo inaccurate.

From my experience of playing against them, they're basically crap. They don't shoot any farther than any other barrel, they just have a flater trajectory for farther. Which really does nothing for performance. As a matter of fact today, a couple guys with A5's and flatlines were shooting at me and it was a joke. They probably shoot 1000 paintballs at me for nothing. They kept hitting my legs a bouncing, the whole time I was laughing at them. It was a joke. I've also been following close behind guys using them, and the balls were shooting everywhere. They didn't go straight at all. For $100 I would get a DYE barrel and forget about the way over rated and priced flatline barrel.

My mate uses one, but because the barrel is curved, if you dont put it on deadly straight, and i mean deadly straight, if its off by a couple of mm, then the extra 100 feet you get doesnt really matter because 100 feet x off-set barrel = off by an absolute mile.

Bull. Tippmanns are some of the most reliable, simple and durable markers on the planet. They are also some of the most inexpincive. Quiteness is not always a benafeit(sp) either.
...they just have a flater trajectory for farther. Which really does nothing for performance.
It may not help you and your style of play any but a flater trajectory can be a huge benafeit(sp).
I've also been following close behind guys using them, and the balls were shooting everywhere. They didn't go straight at all.
Maybe they were noobs and didn't put it on right. We have several people here saying that after they put it on correctly it shot very accuratly. Just because you followed a few people that used them doesn't mean that all other will perform the same.
I think flatlines are a great invention. I call it an invention because they are so unique. I wouldn't want one but I think they are a good barrel.

wow, a lot of you dont know what you are talking about. Someone said tippmanns arent good, i guarentee your gun doesnt have as many customized options as the T98C. I also guarentee that my gun has less problems than yours too, mine has never had any. True, they are loud, but i have a Boomstick, and it makes it as quiet as a AMG with an 18 inch barrel. Someone else said that the flatline shooting farther is a myth, totally untrue. Although it shoots farther, IT SUCKS. It is very inaccurate, and on windy days, balls fly all over the place. Balls bust in the barrel, and if u do have a busted ball, it is extremely hard to squeegee it during a match. Go with a Dye Boomstick, cheaper, shoots farther than stock barrel, and is more accurate than flatline.

flatline is puts backwards spin on the ball. the ball lobs. it does go farther but it can be pretty annoying
