I just got my phantom its a stock class 12 round holder 12 gram co2 and its awsome I have never felt a marker that feels so good in your hands its so small and light my snap shots will never be the same in the short time I have played with my pump I found that I am learning to aim more and use the bunkers not a platforms to spray from but as steping stones to get a good angle on my target. I get painted abit more then normal but its still really fun.

Awesome! I really want a Phantom, too, but I don't have the cash to spend on it :(
Good luck with your new gat! :D

Soon you'll started getting painted less than you did with your semi. Buying that marker was a smart move, have fun.

Yes. There are some after market barrels for Phantoms, but the ones that come on them get the job done.

The stock barrel is good. No need to change it out.
One of these days I might just have to pick up a J&J Edge kit or a Frantom. Just to see how they shoot.
Maybe after I pick up the detent kit I have threatened to get for over 3 years now. :D

You don't have detent rings? Welcome to the 21st century FT.

Nope. I wait until I have a shot before I pump.
The rings are mostly for double feeding. They will help with roll out, but, not completely eliminate it. I have more problems with roll out than double feeding. Haven't felt the ovewhelming urge to buy them. I heard about them right after they were introed and were only a 3 ring set.

I think the $6 is worth not having to take an extra 30 seconds or so to squeegee especially when playing pump and you're moving around and stuff, but to each his own. Or her own?? j/p.

I got to play around with a phantom and use it for a couple of games i'm still not used to having to put more paintballs in so often and changing the 12 grams but it was really fun.

i'm playing without detents as well and i don't get pballs falling out of my barrel - i have a .693 perfect bore on a sterling and RPS all star fit perfectly.
And i don't allways pump ahead too but wait for the shot first.

I never had a roll out problem with RP or Zap. The field I shoot at uses only Diablo/Draxxus paint. They are all smaller PBs. They run .681 to .687+ depending on the type.
