how can i convince my parents to let me paintball?

my parents think im going to get in trouble/hurt and i know how to convince them that im not dumb. im 15 years old by the way. my mom always says "i'll think about it" and my dad obvisouly says "ask your mom"...help me out

Show them the stats. Paintball is the safest sport. Get them to go to a local field.

The thing is, if they think that if you are going to get into trouble than they have a good reason not to let you play. This sport has had a couple of deaths due to people being stupid and a lot of immature kids have been in real trouble for doing drive by shootings. You need to prove to them that you are MATURE enough to not do that stuff. It is more important that you know not to hurt other people b/c that makes all the difference.

i really dont have any feilds near here. but i can prove that im mature enough. i think they know that.

Eh, then show them. Thinking isn't knowing. Just look up the safety stats for it. Being mature is one part, trust is the biggest part.

If you play any other sports just compare the facts for them. Paintball has a lower injury and fatality rate than any other professional sport. Other than cricket! But how many NFL players break bones every year? Now how many NPPL players break bones every year? Just give them the facts.

Say its safer than..... baseball, football, bowling, basketball, raquetball, tennis, and even skydiving.... unless (one theyve ) have skydived.... If they ask swimming ( What are the odds ) you should be good to go....

show her and tell her that it isnt just about shooting other people and that it is actually a sport and that they do have pro leagues. also tell her that paintball builds teamwork sportsmanship and gets you in better shape. ( dont cry that will show them that you arent mature it is also a good way to meet new friends

Or you could ask them to go with you and play at a field rent your guns. Show them how fun and safe it is. thats how i started i went with my dad and his work but it showed them how i could handle myself in the game and that it was safe.
and only injuries ive had were in woodsball and tripping over stumps and junk. i dont know if that counts since it has nothing to do with the paintball gun. or being shot by one.
Also you can tell her that the guns are all chronographed for safety each time you play so that it is not firing at a unsafe speed
