New to paintballing

Hey, I'm new to paintballing and also to the forums. My name is Luke, and just recently I went paintballing with my cousin and now I'm really into it. I'm planning on buying my own gun along with the other stuff I need. I don't want a really expensive gun since I'll be getting all the other things that I pretty much need. I looked on www.actionvillage.com and there are only a couple of guns that are like $250 and below. I'm wondering if some of you can help me out, maybe by looking at the site and letting me know what gun you'd get for like $250 or less. I'd spend more, but I'm also saving for a newer car so I'm limiting myself to less expensive guns. Sorry for the long post, and thanks in advance for any help.

If you are going to play in the woods and are willing to spend 350$ max get a tippmann A-5 witha teardrop barrel.

otherwise you could get a tippmann '98 custom for a little cheaper maybe 280 to 300

Get a TIPPMAN 98 COUSTOM POWER PACK, it comes with the marker (tippman 98 custom) a basic hopper, a co2 tank and a mask, its between 150 and 200$ great for begineers. Anymore Questions? P.S ALWAYS WEAR A MASK!!!!!

The Tippmann that they're selling, the '98 custom is only $170. The A-5 goes for $230. For playing in the woods you say the Tippmann is the best for rookies like me?

I was thinking about getting the PMI Piranha Eforce Evo or the Worrgames Autococker, and maybe the Diablo Mongoose or Psycho Ballistics Silver Bullet. I should probably take your advice though since you guys know this better than I do.

mongooses break too easily the psycho ballistics are just like the mongooses, i just dont like autococker even tho it may be better i would go with the evo

If I were to get the Tippmann 98 or the A-5, which do you think would be better. If I got the 98 wouldn't I have to buy parts for it so that it won't suck just being stock. If I'd have to buy parts for it, which would be good and not so expensive? Can I get some help by tomorrow, because tomorrow I have a day off of work and want to go to the store and buy the marker before Saturday. Thanks in advance.

A-5, a good barrel is the teardrop from smart parts, cus the stock sucks, otherwise you're set with that

What about the 98, or any other Tippmann gun? The other ones are cheaper, and maybe I can buy other parts to make that better? Just seeing if there's any other possibilities, or if the A-5 is my best bet. Thanks for the help.

A-5 IS BETTER IF U ALLREADY HAVE ALL THE OTHER SUFF YOU NEED FOR PAINTBALL( MASk, hopper, co2 tank..) but the 98 is cheaper

buy the 98 custom...for a bit more than the a-5 u can buy the 98 custom pro E(double trigger, 11 inch barrel, drop forward and E-GRIP)

If your on a limited budget get the 98 Power Pack. Its $170.... Get a better mask later. ( you aint gonna be to impressed by the one it comes with. )

heres your safest best bet.

-any spyder, depending on you price range. they're all reliable, and very upgradeable, and usually cheap.

you now have money for an electric hopper, tank, nice mask, and any other upgrades your little heart desires.

i would go w/ a spyder pilot w/ acs a 16 oz c02 tank and the extreme rage 20/20 goggles this would run u about $260

or you could go w/ a tippmann 98 custom w/ extreme rage 20/20 goggles, 14" lapco bigshot barrel and 16 oz c02 this would run u about 220-240 whatever u do dont get the flatline unles ur getting it for the a-5

Dont get a flatline period. It may make it more accurate and more distance, but it does this by giving the ball backspin. To do this it slows down the top of the ball. That reduces the speed of the ball and there is a pretty low chance of it breaking on the player.

i see all these packs but yall need to get him a hopper to..oh and are you willing to spend 250 just and the gun adn then some on other stuff or in all just 250??

just go to the pro shop and ask if you can try the guns and then get the one you like best
