When i bought my EGG yesterday, I didnt get a manual. When its in off mode the low battery light is red. When its on, its not, there is no light. This means i have a low battery right? I feel like a noob all over again... Its not sound activated either is it? It has an on off switch...

Thanks

It's not sound activated, it is operated by IR eyes. If you are having a red light when the switch is off, then you have a short somewhere. There shouldn't be any light at all when the switch is off. The red will come on when the switch is on and the battery is low.

Well i don't know about your low battery light being on when the hopper is off, i've never experienced that problem or heard of it before. The only thing i can think of is maybe poor wiring on your board.

The on/off switch is on all electric hoppers.

The Evo II has IR controlling sensors. That is not sound activation. It is a little beam that has a receptor in the feed neck of the hopper that stay broken by paintballs when they are feeding. When the beam conects the hopper propellers are activated and are moving the balls around to help break that beam again. This keeps the paintballs flowing through your gun when your shooting about 16 bps.

Sound activation is like on the Empire Reloaders. it has an optical sensor that feeds a ball into the neck of the hopper everytime a shot is fired. This, i guess, eliminates a misfeed.
