my friend has an A-5. i woudlnt like to go against him with my Vic 2 (i have played against him a few times, but never shot him out to this date.)

the gun is pretty nice out of the box, but with the right upgrades (in my friends case, a flatline barrel, silencer, electronic trigger, among others) its deadly accurate, and fast as hell. with the cyclone feeding system, you dont need a new hopper either. i havent played with him much, but i want to after i get my Ion :)

they a5 sucks... the values fly out of the thing like hot cakes.. u have to get a new one evry like month and at 68.00 a pop... i'd get a little sick of it

A-5 never played against one . But i have seen one in action. They are a lot better and faster than the 98 custom.

The A-5 is by far the best Tippmann out there. They dont chop balls, and w/ the right upgrades are freakin accurate, fast, and deadly quiet. They are the woodsball Masters :D

the a-5 may have the cyclone feed...but it makes ur co2 or n2 go away faster... if im not mistaken, the 98 custom pro E is close to the same price as the stock a-5, just add a hopper and u will shoot just as fast as the a-5 e-grip

No, the cyclone feed does not use extra air. Blowback gas is used to power it. And no, the Pro E will not shoot as fast as an A-5 with E-grip. Unless there's an adjustable trigger like the JCS blade trigger for the 98, then it will never shoot faster than an A-5.

i was told by my friend with an a-5 that it uses more air and from wut i see it does but w/e...and the 98 custom pro E shoots 15 bals per second how much more can the a-5 do?

A-5s are 15bps and they are sick, no ball breaks and the response trig is off the wall.

Simply put, your friend is wrong. I'm not sure how fast the A-5 shoots (I don't get all hung up on BPS), my A-5 however shoots as fast as I do. If you get an A-5 with E-grip and put a JCS blade trigger on it, it will shoot ridiculously fast. I can walk the trigger on my A-5, which is unheard of on Tippmanns. From what i'm hearing, the 98 ebolt has been discontinued..so i'm guessing they are putting egrips on them now. It won't be long before a company comes out with something like the JCS blade trigger for the 98. Although it did take years for Blackpoint Engineering to come out with it....keep your fingers crossed.

if tippmann hadnt have come out with the custom pro yet, i would have chosen the 98c.....i have nothing against A-5s, its just that they have more parts and are more complex than the 98c or custom pro.....the custom pro e is about as cheap as the stock A-5....i would buy the custom pro over the A-5 anyday....its cheaper and it has about the same performance.......CUSTOM PRO!!!!

CUstom Pro hands down, its the same price as the stock A-5 like the other guy said...i have the Custom Pro E and its awesome. And about the A-5, the cyclone feed sticks out 2 much and in the tippmann adds in magazines some say 800 rounds per minutes some say 700 rounds per minutes for the cyclone feed and thas only 11.6666 bps

u canot shot 15 bps wit a pro e...a pro e is a sear tripping 98 .... cap is about 13-14......

I would go with the 98 Pro E or whatever its called. I'm used to a model 98 so a Pro E would feel better then an A5 to me.

Oh yeah and I forgot to add, DraxXxus, why would you spend over $1000 for a gun when you can buy a pump for $200 and gain honorable skills rather than the situation of not needing much skills because you have the ability to put out 30 bps. Most of them hitting a bunker or netting. Don't diss things you don't have a clue about. You don't have a clue about Tippmanns.
