So you got yourself a Piranha. Nice going. Piranhas are one of the best blowback markers and can be upgraded easily.
Barrel: PMI makes some awesome stock barrels but like with all stock barrels, you are going to want to replace it. If you are low on cash you will want to look at these barrel: Smart Parts Tear Drop, Cp 1 Piece, or a J&J Ceramic. When you buy a new barrel, make sure you don't buy one over 14 inches.
For higher priced barrels, I suggest a Boomstick from Dye, Or a Smart Parts Freak kit(nice, but isn't really worth the money for a Piranha)
Regulator/Expansion Chamber- Regulators regulate the incoming pressure from your air source. These help when you run co2 so you won't have velocity spikes(co2 changes as temperature changes).
Expasion Chambers or aka x-chambers have different chambers that help co2 expand. X-chambers do not really work. They still allow velocity spikes, and you will still get liquod co2 into your gun(s).
Some Piranhas come stock with regulators and x-chambers. I suggest that you save up and buy a better reg. The PMI regs frankly, Stink.
Some good regs are a Bob Long Torpedo(50$), or a Palmers Stbailizer(100$).
Electronic Trigger Frame- If you have an Mechanical trigger frame (MTF) and you want to upgrade to an electronic tigger frame(ETF) Rjskateworks.com carries the different types at low prices. However, do not EVER buy a Mako Storm frame, has they have problems and Mako is out of buisness, so you would have to pay for the repairs.
Air- There are 3 types of air that you can use. Co2, Nitrogen, and Compressed Air. Co2 is the cheapest but also the worst. Co2 is known for velocity spikes, and liquod co2. If you run co2 on your Piranha, make sure you have it anti-siphoned, and are running a good regulator.
Nitrogen, and Compressed air are expensive but do not have velocity spikes and come regulated, so you don't need a regulator, but it will come in handy because you never know how much extra air you can squeeze out with a secondary reg.
Hopper/Loader- If you are using a MTF or ETF it is a good idea to have a Electric loader. Electric loaders help prevent chopping(a paintball is not in the breach by the time the bolt closes, thus the bolt chops the paintball in half). I suggest either a Empire Reloader or Viewloader Revolution with x-board.
