i am looking into buying a dye boomstick 16" for a 98C. Is this a good choice barrel. do the balls curve upon leaving the barrel. I will be getting it for about 50 and should i buy it. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

For $50 you can get any number of great barrels. Personally the J&J Ceramic is my favorite, but the others (Progressive, Teardrop, Xcel, Whisper, Lapco, etc) all work equally well.

The only thing wrong with Boomies is they are quite heavy. The entire back portion of the barrel that is chromed is made of stainless steel... and pretty thick steel too. I would think it would unbalance a Tippy, but that is all personal preference.

Buy it now. $50 is a steal.
