14 is great for speedball, you are accurate enough for the distance you are away from other players and it's small enough not to get in your way

Despite what you hear, 16+ inch barrels are not "sniper" barrels. The ideal length is 14". After that you put too much friction on the paintball, and your accuracy won't increase at all.
