I know tournaments are fun and all, but do you guys ever just take a chill day.? Just go play some rec ball, or just play for fun. Not practices or anything. Just getting out and having fun. Even using low end markers maybe.

They could shoot pump/SC and still keep the owner happy. It would have to be a DYE Carter though. :D

You know, I was thinking that. You guys should give that try some time. Not in your any of your tourneys, just for fun. You might be good enough to play pump, LOL :D Just messing with you. I'm sure you could get the hang of it pretty quick.

Most of the pros that started in the pump days are getting old and coaching or retired. It doesn't seem that long, but, it has been 15 years since the semi took over. Most pro players may never have used a pump in any real competition or at all.
The full mask rule was not adopted until well after the semi took over the natioinal tourny scene. It wasn't until the mid 90's that the mask rule was enforced. The semi had been dominate for 4 or 5 years by then.
Pre air ball NPPL videos are good refferences for when it was introed. You still see some google only players/teams in them. Some players were not happy about the hinderance of a full mask.

It is a good rule IMO. Nothing like a seeing someone with a nasty cheek welt to convince you. Not to mention the occational busted/broken nose or bloody lip. Requiring covering over the ears was a good move also.

I had a sniper pump I wish I never had gotten rid of. I played with a pump the first 3 years I played. I got my first semi, an auto cocker in 92'.
