For the Dye team, how good do you think you are? What are your strengths/weaknesses? Obviously you have great equipment which helps but i know thats not all that makes the team and do you all get along? Speaking of the equipment you dont have to pay for any of it do you, cause your sponsored right?

I think you guys have one of the more fun jobs in the world. LUCKY!

For their case, they might get free guns and such since they are such a big name, but most sponsorships dont give out guns and pay for everything.

i wasnt looking for their secrets of play. i dont have a team nor do i plan on making one. i simply want to know how they feel their team is doing so lets not jump to conclusions.

Well i think we are a really good team, we have strengths in shooting off the break and we are a run and gun team too. We have weakness like any other team. But at the pro level any team can win at any time. It is more about how you do over the whole year that makes the difference.

As for the equipment, dye makes the best of everything ... but equipment does not make you play good. It helps you maximize your skills. I have won tournaments with a spyder before. I would recommend if you plan on doing this for awhile spend the money and get the best gear.

For the sponsorship... i can not discuss in detail what we get , but just like any other team each player has different deals with there sponsors. The team however gets the same deal. On the Ironmen... you pay for nothing... not travel, paintballs, hotels, food, guns, gear, or anything to do with paintball ever. When a player reaches a pro level they should be taken care of like that. you have earned it. I dont know of a single pro player that pays for anything.

I hope that answers some questions..

Rob!

darn that rocks, I wasnt aware the sponsorships were that extensive, even at the pro level. Now with paintball becoming more of a spectator sport and such, in a matter of time players will be signed to teams getting a set salary.

true. but ive seen local buisnesses give more than paintball companies. my friends team got sponsored by pizza ria, they bought them all dm5's plus things like air tanks, uniforms, hoppers, they basically bought them everything they could ask for. it seems pretty common in my area.
