You will feel the paintball hit you! No doubt about that. The armor is less then a dimes width. Its very thin. I am saying that is not a sting anymore its like someone just flicked ya! Veterans in the game are use to the stings. Think about all the people that wants to play this game but are fearful of the stings, welts, and bruises. The design was for players who do not want stings, welts, and bruises. By all means if you like them thats your choice. This jersey is a choice for others who do not. This jersey will bring more players to the game. More revenue for anyone that retails in the Paintball Industry. I have a team here FOX PAINTBALL that wears my jersey expecially for practices because they play so much. One of their teams are young kids. Well, you parents out there do not want their kids injured in anyway. Another reason why this jersey works. It is for the other players!

If a person is afraid of stings, welts, and bruises they shouldn't be playing paintball. It's the same thing as football....if you are afraid to get tackled, then don't play. Armor is just not necessary in paintball.

Yeah, but in football they wear protective gear so that doesn't happen. I don't know it depends if you don't mind getting shot. Personally it doesn't bother me, doesn't hurt because I get hit so much not playing paintball. If you like to have armor then buy it.

if you need gay armor don't paintball puss
Some people say that it's very important to wear chest protecters to protect major organs in the chest area. IMO I think chest protecters just get in the way of your running.

Pads in football don't keep you from getting tackled. Armor in paintball is useless, it doesn't hurt that bad, and I've never heard of anyone having damaged organs from being shot.

Dude to get better you dont use armor thats one of the major things to get over in paintball the fear of getting hit if you concor that you can get better at the sport.

there are some really closed minded people here.
1)football analogy is really bad... the pads dont stop you from being tackeld, it stops you from being hurt... you go tell the football team to " take it like man" and not wear pads. youre still gonna get shot if you wear the jersey. you just wont get injured
2) people wear " armor" on every other part of ther body, like the knee/shin pads, and the elbow/ forearm pads. and gloves... and masks... why is you chest/ back any different.
3) these would aid in bouncing... i dont see how thats bad idea
4) i wear one at 300fps, 285 and down i dont. ( a NME chest protector but not a jersey) and its never gotten in the way for me, the new empires aint half bad either. I personally dont like to have welt hang around on me for a week or two. they are only cool to other paintball players.
5) chicks dig scars... pure myth.
6)" take it like a man" is a bunch of macho BS.
7) "stinging (welts ect.) is a part of the sport"...well these make it so it doesnt have to be. Why have pain inflicted upon you when it isnt necessary.
from my exiperince the majority of people who wear there arent afraid of being shot. most poeple who have them dont invest in them until theyve been shot many many times. If someone uses one thats thier perogative.

Agreed. Especially the chicks dig scars things. Trust me, I have a five inch long scar on both sides of my left arm from surgery when I broke it. I don't have any girls checkin' me out over it. In fact, some people think its kinda nasty. Paintballs don't leaves scars very often though, only if you get point-blanked on bare skin. And even then, they go away after awhile. However, I think wearing a chest protector for woodsball, at least where I play, is kinda lame, cuz you're usually further apart. For speedball though, wearing a chest protector doesn't makes you a wuss, it just means you don't enjoy pain/having bruises. I don't play speedball much so I don't personally own a chest protector, but if I played speedball/airball more, I prolly would.
