Here are some tips to help you become a better woods ball player. (Hope some of them help)

1.) Know the area you are playing well. If you know it like the back of your hand, you can outmaneuver the other team faster, and more effectively.

2.) Don't go throught huge open areas like a meadow standing straight up. Avoid them if you can, if not stay low and don't move too fast.

3.) Ambushes will work well with the right bait, and position. For example you can fire a couple shots to lure the other team to an area of your choosing. Then you get in a good defensive, or concealed position and wait. (You have to have patience) When the anxious team comes to find you, and walks into your trap you light them up.

4.) Don't get out of focus when you hear a couple of shots, sometimes the other team will shoot into random areas just to see if you will do something to give away your position.

5.) Kind of like tip #4, don't waste your time, and paint firing at targets way out of range. Don't shoot a hopper and hope you get a bonus ball, on the guy thats 300 feet away. Some newer players think they can hit from that range and i just stand their until they waste all their paint.

Well I know some more stuff but right now i'm too tired, if you want to add to this feel freel.

This is interesting. I come from a military background and have virtually no experience with paintball, but I'm looking forward to learning the game. What types of ambushes do you use in paintball? Are you a fan of the paint mines and other gadgets like them? I've heard mixed reviews from friends and other players, but they seem like they'd be of great use in the woods, especially if they were dependable and you had the guys to set up a good "L" ambush with the mines in the center and both ends.

If you were in the millitary first i would like to thank you, second using mines and stuff like that can be fun, but is not always effective, and will cost you some extra $$$, what i meant by ambush was lead the other team into a trasp where you would have the complete advantage. In paintball and the millitary i think you will agree it is always better to have the high ground and element of surprise.

Riddle good advice, but I think you should add a tip, try sneaking around them and get them from behind.

Thanks BZA, Yeah sneaking behind them does work very well, getting team mates to shooting at them from more then one place is also good, get a couple team mates to shoot at them from one place whil shoot at them from another.
