Pepperballs..

My excuse in chucking out 400 + dollars at some paint thrower (mentions not the word Ion.. as its been somewhat of a firestarter lately o.o)...

... to my parents is that it could be used in home security. Y'see, I live overseas... and m'father recently hopped on ship to a place in the 'middle-east.' (yes.. OPSEC pwns joo). Our neighborhood is pretty much rural-esque and several hours from the air base. That, and the recent (past 2 months) of burglaries, one count of sexual assault, and general odd, shifty eyed folks strolling about out neighborhood seems to have been the perfect persuasion to me getting a paintball gun... he was still a bit skeptical until I mentioned pepperballs..

... pepperspray = somewhat incapacitating..

.. pepperball = somewhat incapacitating from a good distance. (= mailmen beware)

I sorta chucked in the idea to him after reading about it somewhere.. (Swat 4 online maybe?)... and have wondered where I could actually FIND some..

that would work in my Ion.. >.<

You have to have to be involved with law enforcement or military to legally get pepperballs, thank God... could you imagine a bunch of hellions running around with those??? :P

Eh, I'd be careful, invest in a good security system, and a good weapon... over seas you are not allowed to own a weapon on base correct?

Mm, Being careful = check

Security system = check (motion sensitive floodlights + 2 big dogs + tazer club + bokken + sovin-no-sleep)

Weapon? = big no; illegal to own or brandish a firearm in Italy. .. however.. that does 'not' apply to markers.

you could use marbles... maybe you could get a high powered water gun or a large pump of sumesort and use pepper spray in that... i can just see it now.. a man dressed in solid black with a lock pick kit in his hand, soaking head to toe with pepperspray, running down the street screaming and cursing...

Hmm.. is it possible to siphon/fill a paintball with a custom filling?.. even if it is just tabasco sauce.. that stuff will sorta suck to be hit with

you could poke a tiny hole in it, drain out the paint (this would be easiest with thin filled paintballs) and then fill it with whatever you like. yyou would then need to seal it somehow.. you could probably just use some sort of putty. it probably wouldnt be very accurate becuase the putty would make that point on the paintball heavier causeing it to not shoot streight but you could give it a try.
