Well after years of using a homemade forum, we just couldn't take it anymore, so here is the brand spanking new board for you all to enjoy.

We haven't made it completely home yet, but we thought you would like it more the way it is than the slower old system.

Your old user names and passwords should work. If they don't, just pretend like you forgot your password and one that works will be sent to you.

We hope you enjoy the new forums. Comments and suggestions are encouraged.

I believe so, it took me a minute to figure out quotes though. Take a look for yourself. I'll miss those historic posts.

As for the "pro", I brought over the number of old posts and start date so you wouldn't feel all newbieish. I guess I have to raise the bar on post levels...

Yeah they will be still mods.... I'm sure by now they have figured out that there is a new board. Personally I like it much better than the old one. I got more topics up, but you guys could give me a hand by suggesting what more we need to put on this board... IE what more would you guys like to see added?

Oh my.

After a year or so of idle threats it has happened. New forums. I so loved our occational little glitches. :wub: :D

To tell you the truth I had given up hope. Good to see them. Great job gentlemen. I was just talking about the lack of change on this site with one of my local sites admins after their site gave me a virus or two. I will have to mention the change to them after when I see them tommorrow.

A automatic spam/flame and bad member filter would be nice. ;)

No rush on the return of mod powers, unless the masses become unruly and need some squelching. :angry: :P :D

I would love to see all the old forums here. I miss the Barrels forum and General Gear Questions. Also, regional forums (CA, NW, South, East, etc...). I can't remember all the forums (maybe cuz i'm falling asleep right now), but IMO, none of the forums should be taken away....new ones should be added.

I'm also wondering about all the new mods (who are they?), and where some of the old ones are...like Dead Cheshire. He was my favorite...could answer all of my cocker questions. Another thing i'm wondering is the whole "forum is led by" thingy. Does that mean that those are the people that moderate those specific forums??? I'm just wondering because if that's the case, normal members (Dyedude to be specific) have moderating powers....it doesn't seem right to me.

The old forums aren't gone. Once I get all this dang blue out of here, I'm going to open them up in read only and let people copy stuff from the old to the new. Hope this helps you out.

The "old forums" will only be availble for a limited engagement. I'm not going to leave them open forever, just long enough to pull the good stuff off, toast to the old days and move on.
