Lol. Congrats. Keep it stock. Then if you want adjust it by lowering the dwell and other settings. But just shoot it stock and see if its good enough. I wouldnt mess with it too much if you just got it and have no clue what to do.
Check out Matrixowners.com or something.

get yourself a can of hatersauce and a small oring kit from markerkits.com (http://www.markerkits.com). that should be the very first thing for a new matrix owner. the stock settings are pretty good. once you learn your gun some more then you can do things like buena oring jobs, regulator rebuilds and other small things that will make your gun shoot buttery smoth. but dwell wise, stick with 18 since winter is comming (or arrived?) and you woln't have as many wtf moments at the crono.

If you are looking to upgrade your gun at all I would suggest getting a new feedneck. A CCM Pro-rise will be great. Also, if you can find an experienced technician see if they can install a different trigger spring; one that provides a much lighter pull that the stock one.

or just take out the trigger spring

My freind did that to this 05 proto And itl get stuck some times. You think that will happen to the dm6? What if i just cut it? =)

if it is sticking he just needs to remove the trigger and clean the gunk off it. the dm6 trigger has a ball berring in it so trigger stick is much harder to get and can be avoided by removing the trigger after a shot to the trigger.

1. get a new trigger, i HIGHLY recommend a Critical trigger (just google "critical paintball")
2. The stock board is ok.
as for settings...
1. the LPR should be 2.5-3.5 turns from the most OUT (this is the same as ego's, the opposite of pm's)
3. the board has a a dipswitch. set both to "on" then the marker should turn on in config mode
4. go to dwell "red" and set it to 12, then go to a chrono and turn it up one at a time untill the velocity of your balls stop getting higher (shoot some balls after everytime you set it)
5. once it stops going up, set it back 2 settings
there you are, good to go
if your trigger bounces too much (shoots more than you pull) set the trigger sensitivity up (larger number = less bounce)

woah slow down. the lpr is the same as a pm (same lpr) counter clockwise to raise the pressure. the dwell tuneing is very pointless when the player dosen't know the gun. and efficiency numbers aren't found till the regulators are re-set which isn't the easyist thing for a new matrix owner

Thanks for all the info, but I can handle the dwell and all that, I was just wondering how i can get a max ROF. Or do you think the marker is good out of the box?

out of box is fine

it is not the same as a pm, the lpr is the same, but the adjustment is different since the pm adjusts fom the from and the dm adjusts from the back

ok, but it is still the same ajustment either gun when you look at the lpr.
