what everybody says is sooooo true the A-5 would kill that thing plus the stupid @$$ imagine is a fully auto (YUCK) )>^.^)>

It's got semi auto mode too. I'd take the Imagine over the A5. I don't like how the Cyclone Feed is stuck way out on the side. It's condusive to lots of hopper hits.

Hoppers, guns and faces, those are the places. I always tag hoppers. Besides their face, that's the biggest thing there is.

depends kinda, the a5 is kinda heavy, but really customizable, whereas the spyder is light and comes w/ a e-trigger. I would get that a-5 daggermark from specopspaintball.com

waht are u playing? woods ball or air ball? teh a-5 is one of the best woods ball guns. u can make it oretty nice. but its not the best air ball. ppl might make fun of u for that. the imagin is a spyder so it speaks for its self. i had an e-99 and it lasted for about 6 months i think now its leaking and it sucks booty. but it all depends on wu tu play. and likke soemone sles said, the cyclone stix pretty far out.

Go to a field or proshop, and ask to hold both. If you ask nicely enough, they should let you gas it up also and dry fire the markers. Decide for yourself which one you like more.
As for the whole shooting hopper thing, I always shoot at hoppers. People often leave them up, and its also a realativly large target also. Try shooting at their barrel if thats all you can see. With a few balls, you can hit it, and then yell at them to check their barrel because they wont notice it.

IMAGINE
A-5 has that gay cyclone feeding system that sticks out far
Really the imagine just owns the a-5 , but a-5 would own without cyclone feed

if the A-5 didnt have the cyclone feed it wouldn't be the A-5, it would be the custom 98. The imagine is better because it is smaller and lighter. You can upgrade a spyder marker more than you can upgrade a tippman marker.
And to comment on the hopper hitting situation. If you can hit a hopper from 20ft. away you either need to get better, or quit.

Ok all you Tippman people in comes SpyderLover. The A-5 is a very good and reliable gun. The Spyder Imagine is a good marker and kinda reliable. Like yellowpumpguy said you can easily hit the hopper of an A-5. The Imagine I dont think is really a Woodsball type of gun compared to the A-5. The A-5 wont even come close to the Imagine in Speedball. With the A-5 you cant make it shoot like a Spyder, considering the fact that the Imagine uses a board. I would personally go with the Spyder myself because you can shoot faster with it. I dont just choose it because my name is SpyderLover.
An A-5 wouyld probably work better for Woodsball though. Good accuracy. My decision is actually kind of split.

i looked at the A-5 for a long time befor getting my gun there are pros and cons about. yes it is a tad heavier than some guns but its one of the best woodball guns there is...not to mention u can make it a pretty good speedballer if u slap an E trigger on there. overall the A-5 is way better (offcourse) one of the upsides is that it doesnt need and electric hooper because of the cyclone feed and like all tippmans it runs erfectly well off of co2 the only reaosn i didnt get this gun is because i got the tippman 98 pro e because it was cheeper than a basic A-5 and it already had the e grip firing modes wich is awsome i havnt yet gotten it yet i just ordered it but im pretty excitied

the a5 stock barrel sucks horribly and the imagine is ok. the a5 is heavy but heavy.and the imagine is all around good with a decent barrell and hopper

Either one is a good marker. I've seen a team in the CFOA using A5's. The Egrip for the A5 now has the WAS board available making it plenty fast. I just don't like all the stuff on the A5, i.e. Cyclone feed, pistol grip, sights and all that.

imagine is better for speedball and is superb in woods ball so there you have it they are practically the same :o
