i just got the gun. i can cock the gun back, but when i pull the trigger it doesn't send the bolt all the way forward. I even took the bolt out then fired it and the back block would not go alll the way forward. what gives????????????????? :(

Sounds like it needs to be timed.

i dont know what to tell you then, you might just want to take it to your local paint ball shop and have it looked over although that will probably cost you a decent amount of money if something needs replacing or fixing

Do you have the safety on? That normally won't let the gun fire:)

I am pretty sure it needs to be timed.
Okay, first make sure the marker is degassed and un-cocked. Remove the bolt. I believe it is an 11/16" allen wrench down the hole ontop of the body. Turn right to raise the lugnut. Turn by quater in turns. gas up and see if that helps, if not repeat raising the lug.
Do the waffles, the reason your friends Karnivor is like that is b/c he has it on classic mode. If he needs help to get out of that, pm me.
Your marker is not completly cycling b/c the lug is too far down and the hammer is not being fully released.

First off, are you dry firing with gas in the marker or without gassing it up? Since this marker relies on pneumatics to cock the marker and bring the bolt forward, you need to gas it up to do any type of testing. Since you just got this marker, new I assume, then it should have been timed and setup properly at the manufacturer.
If you are doing it gassed up, then you need to time it as joey suggested above. However, the timing you need to do isn't with the hammer lug.
Once you release the trigger the bolt should slide forward to it's most forward position. If it fails to do this then you need to shorten the ram stroke.
Remove the cocking rod and bolt, push the backblock forward as far as it will go (with light pressure), then screw it in until it touches the back of the marker. Once there, unscrew it one full turn and install the cocking rod and bolt again.
However, if the backblock is tight on the ram arm then you are going to have to screw the ram arm onto the ram farther. This can be a problem with some aftermarket upgraded markers.

They got that name because they were orignally pumps. Not because they automatically cock them selves, though they do after you cock it. You have to cock it manually before you use it. I don't know anything about semi Autocockers. Just do what Doorman said, he's a knowledgeable fellow.

Well thanks. Ummm, sorry to say but the autocockers will work just fine without cocking it first. If you don't have it cocked and you pull the trigger, the hammer will not slide but the front block will still actuate and recock the marker. In the process it feeds the ball, cocks the hammer, and brings the bolt forward. I do this all the time on mine. It just saves a bit of time for me.

Oh. Well dang I just learned something new. Like I said, I don't anything about the semi ones as you can tell. LOL The pump cockers do have to be cocked before gased up though, otherwise the air will start leaking out. Once you pump it, you can decock it and it'll be fine. I don't know why, that's just the way they are so I figured it was the same for the semis. Thanks for the info there Doorman. Also like I said Doorman is very knowledgeable. LOL

It's because they usually run a heavier mainspring since it's a pump setup. When running pneus you want to get a light mainspring so you can reduce the LPR pressure and get as soft an action as possible in hopes you get ball pinching instead of chopping in case one misfeeds.
I'm interested in seeing how the original topic turned out though.... any word?

I'm pretty sure the trilogys have to be cocked too. But i can't test it now cause it's not with me. It's probabily cause they're cheap and that's y im replacing it soon.
