Pev’s Tournament Series Adds 5-Man Division
PRESS RELEASE
May 11, 2005 – Manassas, VA - Pev's Tournament Series (PTS) has expanded yet again! For 3 years, the popular PTS event series has grown rapidly in its 3-man event format. After a hugely successful start in the 2005 season, with over 70 teams per event, Pev’s has decided to add a second format, which will add a 5-man division with cash prize payouts!
The PTS 5-Man series will also be held at Pev’s Paintball Park in Leesburg, VA. The series schedule of events is as follows:
Saturday May 21st - PTS Spring 5-Man Jam
Saturday July 16th - PTS Summer 5-Man Jam
Saturday September 10th - PTS Fall 5-Man Jam
The entry fee for each event, which will include all day air, will be $300.00. These events are Pev’s paint only events and each team must purchase 5 cases of paint at any Pev’s Pro Shop location. 50% of the entry fees will be returned as prizes for 1st thru 4th place at each event.
1st Place - $1500.00*
2nd Place - $750.00*
3rd Place - $500.00*
4th Place - $250.00*
*Sample Prizes Based on 20 Teams Playing. Actual prizes amounts will be determined by the number of teams playing.
The 5-Man Series Champions will be crowned at the last event in September. Each team must compete in all 3 events to be in the running for Series Championship! A 1st Place Championship Trophy will be awarded to Series Champion. The Series Champions will also receive a 2006 Pev’s Paint Sponsorship valid for the 2006 PSP 5-Man Series (will cover paint expenses for all five PSP 5-man events).
As with all PTS events, all games will be played on Ultimate Air Ball or X-Ball fields on grass tournament fields. All referees for the events are nationally-ranked NPPL / PSP Players.
Classification Rules - 5-man Division:
No Current or Former Professional Players, No NPPL or PSP Experience, EXP, CVPL, IAO, Ultimate Madness and PTS experience is allowed.
