You may have heard that the Mid Atlantic PSP NXL division will be a East vs West Allstar event.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Paintball Sports Promotions is proud to announce the first ever NXL All-Star Game to be held at the Mid-Atlantic Open. In lieu of the regular NXL schedule, the All-Star Game will be a showdown between East and West.
Each of the NXL teams will submit some of the top professional players in the game to compete in this All-Star match-up. Don’t miss the chance to watch your favorite players battle it out in a series of games for the All-Star Title.
“We at the PSP are very excited about hosting the first ever All-Star Game in the sport of paintball. I hope to make this game an annual tradition following suit of other professional sports such as the MLB and NBA All-Star Games as well as the NFL Pro Bowl.”
~Lane Wright, CEO of Paintball Sports Promotions
More details for the PSP All-Star Game will be available in the coming weeks at www.pspevents.com. Stay tuned for the game schedule, rosters, and much more!

Any opinions? My local store forum is disappointed. The event is within driving distance and everyone wanted to see thier favorite team. I can understand that, but, I pointed out there could be a few intersting encounters with all those egos running into each other on the same field at the same time.

There is where I stole it from. Shocker03 may well have copied it from Nation. He is officialy our local forum reporter who posts 90% of the PB news on
www.thealternativesport.com.
He has many sources.
If I get a chance to go, and, I am planning on it, I will post my personal slant on the event. It won't be Young quality, but, it will be a article of sorts.

I was hoping that ryan greenspan and ollie lang will both get on the roster and as ollie slides into the snake ryan "accidentally" shoots him in the back of the head. lol yea unrealistic, but interesing to think of.

Realistic or not, it could happen. Events like that could realy make it interesting. :D This event won't count for anything in the grand scheme of things. You never know who might get shot in the back of the head.

i would like to see all the players with differnt codes and names play together. i hope they play like a team, not like a bunch of individuals. games like theese are for the fans only. also i would like to see some russians play with americans.

haha federov is shouting in russian so everybody else is like wtffff??? I think the teams are just going to be ok... they are not well organized teams, cuz they generally don't play together on the same team, so they wont be playing amazing. I think a well organized team could beat a team made up of stars that have never played together almost any day. paintball is a team sport (most of the time)

Alrighty, I made it down for the last few games and the NXL Allstar games. I realy enjoy watching good players taking care of business on the field.
The NXL players put on a good show and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Mikhail Kniazev (I believe it was him) broke out in dance and waved to his admirers in the crowd a few times. He seemed to realy be having a good time.
The high lights of the event for me were:
Keeley Watson putting a NXL AllStar poster up in front of me and another older spectator so we couldn't see the NXL field, and, had to go buy a blue wrist band to get into the bleecher/viewing area. I had intended to purchase the wrist band as soon as I got tired of standing. I was motivated a bit sooner than I thought I would be.
Watching a kid I had seen go from a rank rooky to a DI player playing in that DI game. He did his job, but, nothing spectacular. His marker did fly apart on him once, just like in his noob days. He never got over that habit. :P :D
The rather loud/profane woman in the bleechers behind us that seemed to dislike refs and was for the East Team. It reminded me of my little league days. Only this woman had a foreign accent. Back in little league it was strictly east Tenn hick.
Sitting with the only Spectator for the West Team in the bleechers. It seems he didn't realy like any of the East teams.
and; Changing my mind and desciding I like the looks of the Russian Legion Shocker, but, I would still hate to clean it.
