and you have a 400 thats retarded why spend that much on a bike when a 125 or 250 would be cheaper and less wieght.

your 510 is it a cr 500 bored out to a 510, if so im not tryin to dog on your bike but i have a 2004 crf450 with mods.( i race) and nothin has beaten me in a drag race. im not sayin mine will beat ur 510 but its very possible.btw what bike do u have like a ktm or somethin?

its not a honda, and it started out as a 510, its a husky te510. there is a post that i posted when i got it. i have not really raced it, its power band is too weird to try to take to the track, its more of a trail bike. but it does do around 100-115 ish... its hard to tell, no spedometer. i sure i could push it a bit further, but i dont want a fireball between my legs. and a 450? what mods? there is not much more power you can get out of those, they come stock from honda already maxed.

well honda only has one cam and i have a stage 2 hot cam,athena big bore kit,and i forget what else i got.i no what it is i just cant think of what it is.

ok i just noticed that u said that hondas come maxed from the factory,obviously u dont no honda 4-strokes cuz u can do so much to them, to make them go alot faster. A stock CRF450 puts down 45+ hp to the wheel. With mods they can get at least 65 hp to the wheel without a big bore kit

do you have any clue how many top end rebuilds you end up going through? its almost as bad as a ktm... like every other weekend...

the manual says top end rebuild every 15 hours (stock) but i no some that i go ridin with somtimes and has a 450 as well except an 03 and he has had it for 2.5 years and he hasnt changed the top end once and it still runs awesome. i see what ur sayin though

i used to have an honda xr 100 but i got too big and now i have an 03 suzuki rm 250 and its quick but if you were gunna build a bike for drag racing i would say get a crf450 put an ice-cube on hot cams (exhaust and intake) new valves springs a new exhaust k&n etc then like no one could beat you

you can drag a dirt bike anywhere from streets to feilds to the dunes its just a matter of where you live i live in the midwest where there are plenty of farmers who will let you ride in their feilds and almost all are big enough to drag race

Got an 80 something Kawasaki 420 today for free. Considering giving it to one of my buddies so he can try to trade it off for a smaller bike (He's a new rider.).

I still want to ride it though! :D

dude, i rode a kawi 250 2 stroke for about a year. it wasnt anything super new, but it was still a mid 90's watercooler.
