It is a decent inexpensive gun to get. Personally that wouldn't be my first choice...

AVOID Brass Eagle markers!
Go to actionvillage.com and browse the Piranhas (under the PMI category) and Spyders (under kingman) I know the original spyder imagine is on sale right now for about $72, it's an e-marker, has decent performance, easy to fix, and is easily upgraded. It's a spyder, so if worse comes to worse or you up grade to another marker, you can easily re-sell it.
Here's a few thigs you should ask for with it.
A CO2 tank, a GOOD mask (such as any JT or Vforce mask) and if you're lucky and your parents kind, you can ge ta decent barrel such as a CP barrel.

Definately don't get any Brass Eagle crap. They're no good. Get a cheap electric Spyder or something like that. It'll be good in rec and some tourneys.

Why would it be dangerous. B.E. has to follow all ASTM standards like anyother company.
Eh, it isn't a bad marker, but it is definetly not for tournys. If you take care of it, it'll last.

I was thinking about getting an Orion..
But I heard it breaks paint like hell, and I could get a better quality gun for the same price.
Check out a Spyder, I'm getting a TLX, but check out the VictorII or an Xtra.

To anwer your question, NO, don't get a view loader marker.
Get a Spyder or Piranha (PMI) or a Tippmann instead.
I would recommend a mechanical Spyder, they are easy to use, and to clean. they are light weight, perform well, and relativly durable. they also look cool, and lastly, they are REALLY inexpensive!!!!!!!

For about the same price as the Orion, you can get a "better" marker like a Spyder, Tippmann or Pirahana. Good luck with your new marker :)
