ok so i got this proto 1 pice today becase i needed a barrel that would work well with .68 size paint and the stock wasnt working. so i got this barrel and i drop a paintball in and it barly pits. i have to push the paint aout wiht the squeege. i thought this was suppose to be .690. am i wrong?
also the paint i was using was old. like a month or so old. would that do anything. also it has been sitting in my room for a while. i thought it might be the heat that is swelling it up but i put some in the freezer and nothing changed.
do i need yet another barrel (and if so who wants to buy a proto one pice? :P )
or is it just the paint?

it's just the paint.

More then likely the paint, there should be a sizing # somewhere on the barrel.

Try a new fresh pack of paint and try different kinds to see wich one suits your barrel best

If you blow in one end of it lightly and it comes out its fine. If you have to blow hard then the paint probably swelled.
I have a freak kit and I always use the bore sizes that the paint has to be slightly blowed on or pushed through. (Perfect bore to paint match usually) But if you have to blow too hard and it doesnt come out then its too small of a bore.

I dont think its old from one month. I still have paint I'm used from march and it still fits the same bore. But maybe it is. Buy a new bag of the same stuff you have now, then buy a bag or two of some different brands and test them out. I doubt its the barrel but you never know. Make sure you get the good premium stuff so the balls are nice and round and not cheaply made. Its all about experimenting.

Yes, I also believe its the paint. When paint ages, the size and shape warps and in most cases, heat and age will enlarge the paintballs and make them harder to break, believe it or not. They become large and squishy to where the shells aren't crispy so they break.
