First thing. $10 Barrel, $10 Shipping wtf is that? But w/e. I'd have to say no, it's probably not your best option.. at all. Here are some reasons:

- You usaully get what you pay for. There are rare instances where do, but for the most part, a $10 barrel will play like a $10 barrel. I.E. not too good.

- I'm not sure if that dispation pattern will work for your accuracy, and how well they are bored in. Looks alright I guess, then again I've never held one of these barrels in my hands.

- I noted that the seller also sells thos 21in. barrels. "TL-20 Paintball 21" 3pc Sniper Tippmann 98 Barrel" Dang, they make it sound like the greatest thing since.. yeah. They say nothing about the disadvantages of it. Is it lack of knowledge of the seller? Or lack of honesty?

In short, I wouldn't buy it. If you want an aftermarket barrle, but something that you KNOW will work; A Teardrop or something of that degree. If you are deadset on buying this barrel, erm, go ahead I guess. It's only $20 (right now) and you'll be able to spread the word on these, wheather they are good, or bad.

Your chioce, but I did give you my opinion. ;)

I'll back you up on this one, but next time you should give a valid reason why you suggest something, as should everybody on here. The Flatline barrels are way overpriced. You can get a new DYE Ultralite for that much and it's a lot nicer than a Flatline. The Flatline does not shoot farther than any other barrel, it just keeps a flat trajectory(hence the name flat line) for further than a normal barrel, which does nothing for performance. They are most of the time inaccurate. To get the back spin for "increased range" you have to have a very large bore. Almost no paint is large enough to form a good seal in this barrel, which puts a lot of turbulence on the ball causing to not be as accurate as it could. I'd also like to see how many of you guys that have Flatlines have ever taken off the shroud. The barrel is shaped like this ~, well that's a bit exaggerated, but it is crooked as hell. If you're really interested in spending $100 on a barrel, you're better off not to spend it on a Flatline, they are not worth $100, get a DYE Ultralite instead. It's an incredible barrel. It shoots straight, it's light and it's used by more tournament teams than any other barrel. :D This is where I intended this reply to go. I don't know how I ended up putting it in that other one. LOL

So Tippmann can sell their markers for more money. It also gives newbies the impression they out range everybody. From my experience playing with and against Flatlines, they're not all that everyone says they are. I've played against soooo many guys using them and when they shoot at me, I actually stand there and catch the paint and shoot it back at em'. They're too far away to break paint on anything, because they're reaching the maximum range on the Flatline can acheive. Which is the same as my Progressive. I shoot the paint right back at em' though it usually bounces.

Some newbs dont know how to put flatlines on right thats why they say Its a bad barrel I have mine perfect It goes super far and has great accuracy One time I hit my friend during the first game I hit him in the neck he had a big goosegg on his neck the size of a golfball and he had his neck protector on I hit him the first game and he was throgh for the day

That's why you're getting a lot of range. You're shooting at too high of a speed. I've gotten bunkered at 300fps plenty of times, even in the neck, and I've never had a big old goose egg. You should crono your marker and get it shooting at or below 300fps, because it sure doesn't sound like it is.

how exactly can you put a barrel on wrong? unless you cross-thread it...it all screws in the same way...

Because if you dont put the barrel on strait it could cause paintballs to break to the left or right
