If you could delete forums, which ones would they be? A explaination would be nice, but, not absolutely needed.

the two conferences of the NXL, the misc. gear forum, or the event forums...
EDIT: also the "article review forum"... there have only been 2 topics there...

i don't know why but the moderator forum really isn't doing much for me.

Mis gear, events, NXL conferences, and Keely (team/player forums), I would tend to agree with. Not used, spam collectors or just plain embarassing. One of these days the Keely forum will shrink down to the one or two nonembarassing threads/posts.
Canada? Man, that was rough. How can you not like Canadians? They were always my favorite people to hang out with in Florida.
The Ion posts in general can be overwhelming. If we get rid of the Ion forum, you will only see more outside of it. If you see a Ion post and feel the need to make it go to the Ion forum, feel free to hit the alert icon or send me a PM with the link.
Moderator forum? I had a the same fleeting thought and then it came in handy. I would have to vote to keep that one. :)

i agree with ft for the most part but if you git rid of the ion subforum then there will be so many posts outta place and then people will start useless flames for nothing. but like i said earlier when keeley comes back i think we can add her forum back?

what happened to the MVP forums???
anyway i think we should get some one to closely watch the keely forum instead of shutting it down.... itd be mean to shut her down cuz she has 6 month visits....
but take away some of the nxl forums
tatertot113
06-27-2006, 10:13 PM
yea i like doa's idea, like have a member look at the forums and cut down on some of the useless posts. like the pm a mod of that forum and the mod could delete it?
F.T. Phantom

If Keely was interested in keeping the forum and willing to put in some effort (and it would take a lot and patience with the average maturity level of these forums), it would be worth having. I wouldn't mind keeping track of it if I knew there was reason to do so. Right now it is just another spammed up forum. I can't blame her for being absent and ignoring it. I know she has better things to do than be harrassed by pubecent boys.
The MVP forums are still there. Not alot of activity, but, they are still there.

I got a idea its not forums i want to delete. Its the post count. I know call me crazy but with out post count i guess you could say there would be less pointless threads/post. Just a thought

If the post count disappeared, I wouldn't get upset. Quality is always better than quantity IMO. I don't know if it would cut down on useless posts, that has more to do with the one posting and their motivation for posting.
If you do run across a thread that needs cleaning and is worth cleaning up, just hit the alert icon and state what needs doing in your opinion. One of the mods will take care of it.

like i don't really care about if a post is getting off topic because most do after the 2nd page* <_< but how you said positing then motivating some other people to post about that maybe with out a post count people wouldn't really be motivated to post more stupid stuff... But that's just my thought there's 1000+ other people on this site that might think its stupid. O well just a thought(hope this made sense)

It would help keep some spam out of the forums. I don't doubt that.
It won't take care of all the stupid stuff. There are the occational members that like to post something just to post and see thier name on the screen. Wish I had a dime for every post I have seen like that. I could have retired last year.

So it would help but theres really nothing to do about the stupid stuff. I mean its really never gona stop cause 12 year olds will turn into 13 year olds get into paintball come on this site and post crap on how good keely looks and how they own everyone on the site..... man wish we could stop it in a way but we cant really

maybe they should limit how many threads go into a forum. then the old ones get deleted and then we dont worry about the nubs who bring back threads from a year or two ago. idk just an idea.
as for deleting forums, well, yeah. the keely forum can go.

ya like if something is a month old it is automatically deleted except for the sticky threads

Not a bad idea, but, it would cut down on the data base available to the one or two users that know how to use a search engine. :D
Some type of lock after a certain time frame would work even in that case. You could see it, but, not bring it back.
tatertot113

yea but that would creat the need to make a new thread about the same thing

that might work <_<

We could have an invitation only joining system. You can't join unless you get invited. hehehe
As for deleting forums... I don't see any reason to delete any. Sure, some are useless, but they aren't hurting anything so I wont complain. If it was a deal where there were there was too much sub managment of topics then yeah I'd want some deleted but I don't really see that happening. Cept in the off topic section there is a lot of submanagment there with the subforums.

A invitation only forum would work. I suppose it could be set up similar to the way mods are set apart. There wouldn't be a password needed then. It would be invite only that way.
As for deleting forums, it was athought I had one day while making the long scroll down the main forum page. There are still quite a few with almost no traffic. Just a thought to get some convo going and see if anything came of it.

but what if we do have like a quiz where there will be like simple questions like
an ego is made by what company
what powers the paintball gun to fire..
so on and so on
what if we have like a whole diff forum where like month old threads just automatically go to that forum so when someone searches it wont be gone so they wont ask the question over again but it wont clutter up the other forums.......... and who cares if they topic ressy it wont really matter

how bout
if you have 10000 paintballs and your shooting 17 bps a second and your hopper feeds 15 how many are not chopping

If the marker has eyes (and it should, if it is capable of 17 bps) and they are on (yes, some people will forget to reactivate them after they turn them off), there should be 0 chops in a ideal world. All will fire.
Probability will say at least one will chop, and, that will be in the last game of the finals when it is one on one FTW. The timing of the event is attributed to Murphy's law.
What was the first marker banned? I beleive that was your first question.

see you couldnt be a ###### and get that answer but you could get lucky like danman and guess the answer
first gun banned was
tippman pneumatics smg 60 bulldog. it was the first full automatic gun shot 30 bps at a time required 62 caliber paintballs.
