Hi. Me and my friends woodsball in small team (3-5) at a few acres that I own. We have a problem trying to cover all positions and communicate without giving away our position. I am looking at some of us geting head sets to communicate while playing for inside of our masks. Does anyone know a good source of these with good range under $40 for us to be able to use. So, can you guys throw me a link to one? I'm really wantimng this to bring a new world to our game. Thanks

Firefox is the best but are expensive. My dad and I use a pair of wrap around head sets for hunting. I haven't really tried it with my mask on but with my baclava(sp) it was not bad comfort wise. Just go down to your local sporting goods or electronics store and check around. Just don't opt for the cheapest ones though. You'll just end up using your radios without them now.

How exactly do the firefox ones actaully work. i'm trying to completely figure thme out. are they worth it? Are there any other things that would work better? I'm trying to start to get more equipment that will help improve my gameplay. Also, are there any other devicesi should be looking to add to my kit liek this?

The firefox work by picking up the vibrations from your throat when you talk. You can barely whisper and on the other end you will picked up loud and clear. It also doesn't take in any background noisies. Here is where I got most of my information:

Damn those things are pretty tight. I'm trying to find some teams around here to play with, and when I do I'll most likely get those.

They're an accessorie for walkie talkies. It's a pretty nifty thing to have in paintball sometimes, but I don't like spending money on something that could get damaged by a paintball. I can only imagine what a good hit to those throat mics could do to it. Wouldn't that be something to hear a ball hit your buddies throat mic over your ear bud. LOL "Whack...Oh damn I got hit the neck!"

That would suck wouldnt it, all that force would be focused and it'd pus into your neck. Makes me wince thinking about it, lol, thanks for the posts guys

oww. ###### i'd get them and stick them under my mask, but low enough so it would still be usable.
