A Spyder Imagine or a Spyder E-99 are both nice entry level electronic guns.

My first question is why do you need an electronic marker right now? If it is a matter of you just want one I can understand that but I might also suggest you save a little bit more cash and get a marker from the middle of the line category rather than low end.
Go to your local field and try out as many markers as you can get your hands on. Everyone has different likes and dislikes as to what a marker feels like. Don't get something just because some people said it is the best. That said I have heard good things about the B2K5/BKO they are different markers but of the same family. Also Ions and Wraths seem to be the new hotness. I personally have seen a wide range of quality control problems from SP, not to say their markers are crap but they do have very loose tolerances for what they let out of the factory. That said I saw a bunch of private lable Impulses on Ebay for UBERcheap. I'm talking $350-$400 for what used to sell for $900-$1000. You will probably get the most bang for your buck that way. These are very good markers just not my flavor. They are a bit on the tall side but can easily keep up with everything out there today.
The best thing you can do though is try out whatever you can get your hands on and see what you like.

ICD makes decent guns. The 04 Bushmaster with PDS is pretty good

first of all the diablo wrath and the ion are considered high end electro markers, so what you sed makes no sense... the wrath can shoot 20bps and the ion can do 17bps, also they are very reliable.... And also, if this is his second gun he is better off getting a cheaper one. :P

If Ions and Wraths are considered high end, than what are Shockers and DMC's. Damn I might as well save $700+ and get an Ion, if they're high end along side the Shockers.
