All the game I will have on there is WOW, CS:S, and WC3. Somebody tell me what kind of PC can handle this well, wont lag much at all, and has a lot of memory because I will have a bunch more programs on there. DO NO TELL ME TO BUILD ONE. I want to know what kind I can just go buy from the store or online, not building one.

You could get a Dell XPS, I mean there's a lot of compainies that build custom gaming computers but they get up there in the 4,000 dollar range. Alienware is also good. Personally I think you'd be better off building your own, don't get mad at me but if it's the setting everything up that you think is going to be a problem it's really not bad at all. The XPS 600 with an better video card option (7900 GS) should be more than good enough, comes with dual core processor. The only thing is it'll be Intel. AMD is rated better for gaming. Alienware uses AMD processors I believe.

Well, they use different types of sockets on the motherboards for one thing. AMD has just been around a short time compared to Intel and is already going strong with them. Intel is still the more popular, because of reputation I'm guessing, but for gaming you'll just want to go with and AMD processor. Performance wise, they're better at multi-tasking (especially if you get a dual core CPU ) and run cooler than Pentium 4s. Don't be fooled by the clock speed on Intels (3.2GHz for example), that doesn't mean everything. Usually faster is better, and AMDs are plenty fast (most are just as fast as Intels) but as I said before they're better for gaming. It's basically unanimous. I could try to go further into detail if you want more info.

Any website like buyxg.com would probably be your best bet. http://www.buyxg.com/system/cfg02.asp?v=d Upgrade the ram to 1 gig and maybe buy a different graphics card and you'll be set.

I've never heard of the place prolite mentioned, but here are some custom PC builders... they have really good reviews... more on the expensive side though.

i can vouge for the xps. it is the same as some of the alienwares just $1000 cheaper. and since dell purchases alienware, there is really no difference. amd is exelent. but i have yet to get my pentium d to hit more than 30% usage. the dual core is killer. amd is overkill for the average users

True, now it is, if you get like a 4800+ dual core or one of the crazy FX procs. At this time it would probably just be for hardcore video editors who run thousands of things at the same time while playing F.E.A.R. on all high settings. However, it's a great investment to make for the future, where many PC games will demand both cores to run at full potential. Sure it may be a little while before that happens, but it's annoying to upgrade your CPU, and now you won't have to. Plus even if you do run a lot of games now there will be a noticeable difference in speed (or should be, haven't tried for myself yet).

Yeah.. an AMD processor running at say 2.0 GHz does NOT equal and Intel running at 2.0 GHz. You can however use the GHz rating to compare Intels to other Intels of the same number of cores. FYI a dual core processor at 2.0 GHz is not equal to 4.0 GHz... my friend seems to think that but that just means the processor runs at a lower rate thing using less power and creating less heat.

Anyway... I have a Dell XPS 600 I think, it was about $2000 dollars and it works fine. What I'm pissed about is the new wave of dualcores came out right after we bought the thing lol.
