They are made by the same company which is Smart Parts. To my knowledge I dont think they are any different from each other besides the looks.

They're pretty much the exact same. Get whatever's cheaper

They're exactly the same. The only difference is the Teardrop's porting is like scooped out looking where as the Progressinve just has plain drilled porting. They shoot very nice and are an excellent barrel for the price.

I'll back you up on this one, but next time you should give a valid reason why you suggest something, as should everybody on here. The Flatline barrels are way overpriced. You can get a new DYE Ultralite for that much and it's a lot nicer than a Flatline. The Flatline does not shoot farther than any other barrel, it just keeps a flat trajectory(hence the name flat line) for further than a normal barrel, which does nothing for performance. They are most of the time inaccurate. To get the back spin for "increased range" you have to have a very large bore. Almost no paint is large enough to form a good seal in this barrel, which puts a lot of turbulence on the ball causing to not be as accurate as it could. I'd also like to see how many of you guys that have Flatlines have ever taken off the shroud. The barrel is shaped like this ~, well that's a bit exaggerated, but it is crooked as hell. If you're really interested in spending $100 on a barrel, you're better off not to spend it on a Flatline, they are not worth $100, get a DYE Ultralite instead. It's an incredible barrel. It shoots straight, it's light and it's used by more tournament teams than any other barrel. <_< Damnit. I just noticed I put this in the wrong damn thread. LMAO OH well. It's still good information.

I was just looking at an A-5 flat-line earlier today. I was like woah. I knew it had curve in it, but not as huge as it is. The back spin has to effect the accuracy of the ball as well though.

Yeah, the back spin makes it go all over the damn place. Unless you have some really big paint, I mean real big paint.
