There's really not a whole lot of noticable difference between the 12" and 14". They'll basically shoot the same. Just depends on how tight you want to be able to tuck into your bunker. I just got a 14" Progressive barrel the other day. It's just like the Tear Drop with out the dipped porting. It does good. So maybe go with the 14" I guess.

Thanks. Is there much difference between the teardrop and the progressive other than the price?

i would go with the 14", even though there is not much difference...it will shoot slightly better and plus, you can probably get it for the same price.

I would personally choose the Teardrop(my opinion). I like how they look. Here are some barrels.

Teardrop 12" Black
Note*
These barrels are for Model 98 markers. I think they will still work for Custom 98 markers though. I dont know since I dont have a Tippman.
Enjoy!! ;)

Tear drop is better, that is for sure. However for the price and the amount it is better... if you need to think economy go with the progressive.
I did, and I don't feel bad about it at all.
Teardrop is better, but not by much.

There is a good article on barrels at ottersccustoms.com that explains barrel lengths. I think its 10 inches minimum, and 14 inches max. any less, and the ball wont reach max velocity, and any longer would cause excessive gas consumption. I just ordered a 14in the other night, ill try it out against my brothers 12" AA barrel, and see if there is a range difference. I doubt there will be, but ill find out for sure :)

well theres not a huge difference between those 2 i did here though that the longer the barrel the more c02 im not really sure u might want 2 ask a few more people about that
so i guess that i would go with 12 in overall its not gonna be a huge difference

a length of 2" can change your accuracy a little but look at it this way
more distance or better accuracy
