I know my opinion may not count and that some people will say I'm wrong and stupid but here is what I have to say. First don't get aa Trilogy. They arent that good. Getting the right cocker depends on what kind of player you are and what kind of money you have. If you are an all out tourny player with the cash go for the Karnivor. A gun with a little less perfomance than it is the E-Orracle. If youre a woods ball player then a VF Tacticle might be the one for you. I dont know much about the new superstock cocker so ask around about the performance and the $$.
If you are going to get a Trilogy, and I hope you dont, get a new ball detent for it and upgrade to the better 3 way system so you can get an electric trigger to make it a lot better. About the air, all cocker manuals will say eigther CO2 or compressed air, my advice is get compressed air. Its better for your gun and you can read how much air you have left. I would get an electric hopper, especially if you get a cocker with an electric trigger, no question about it. People get drop forwards because it takes the tank and tucks it under the gun more to make the whole marker small and less descrete. Another must have but is also an opinion of people. Hope I've been help. ;)

Trilogies are good markers for the price. The Pro is the only one worth it. They come with decent pneumatics and not can be e-bladed.

WGP came out with and upgrade for the pneumatics so you can get an e-blade

1. All cockers are good. It just depends on your budget and what you will be using it for (tournaments, rec, woods). If you are less serious about paintball (rec) you might want to start with something a little less expensive.
2. Definetly go with N2 or as I call it HPA. It's cleaner, more consistent, and quieter. All cockers (I don't know about Trilogy's) should be run off HPA.
3. Yes, get an electric hopper. If your rate of fire exceeds the loading rate you will be chopping balls right and left.
4. Drop forwards do exactly what the name says...they drop the tank forward. This will bring your marker closer to your body. It's all about personal preferance or what type of marker you use. I use a CP rail drop on my E-Orracle, which is all drop and no forward. If I were to use a drop forward, my beavertail would smack against my lenses all the time. Between the back of the marker, the cocking rod, and beavertail, there's no room for a drop forward. However, with my A-5 I use a CP Lightning drop because the back of the marker is even with the grip, allowing me to bring the marker closer to my body. I hope this makes sense.

The Cocker Trilogy Sport is the only Cocker of the three that has a valve designed to work with Co2. The Trilogy series are good inexpensive alternatives if you want a Cocker.
All the other "clones" out there seem to be decent, but WGP has a great customer service program that will help you with your Autococker.
I have also seen very cheap knockoffs of the Autococker that, unfortunately, shouldn't even be on the market. As they say you get what you pay for, but as far as cost performance ratio go for the Trilogy there is a lot of bang for your buck.
If you get the Pro Trilogy, I would highly recommend HPA unless you live in a very warm region like the Southern states of the US. If you do live in this region, Co2 with a properly installed anti-siphon will work great in that gun. If not and you plan on using Co2, just get the Sport since the valve is designed for Co2.
Drops, that is a personal preference item. Me personally, I hate em. I prefer a longer gun setup without a drop. It is easier for me run and shoot. A drop also raises the profile of the whole setup and I hate my arm being contorted in an uncomfortable way. My teammate uses a drop and it works for him. Pro player Billy Wing of the Los Angeles Ironmen uses a drop also. There really is no right or wrong with a drop... But to each their own.

Hpa is no more quiet than co2. How is ~800-805 psi any more quiet than ~800-850 psi? (could be same with lower psi markers)
Markers are quiet and loud due to the psi they operate at. It has nothing to do with an air system.

Just make sure to get a new balldetent when you purchase your Trilogy. I hear that they are square  not 100% sure on that but if they are get a new one. If you need a suggestion get the Kila Products magnetic Ball Detent http://www.kilaproducts.com/

From my personal experience, when I use Co2 on my A-5, it makes a "ping" sound. Don't know why, it just does. When I run HPA on my A-5, theres no sound. Maybe it's just me, I dunno. Just my observation.

The ping comes from the tank, it's a normal thing though, it happens to me

That ping is from your tank not being filled properly.
For the detent, don't worry about it.

Okay...so we've established that i'm not crazy...HPA tanks do not make "ping" sounds, therefore making them quieter.

Eh, not so quite. I don't hear a ping sound in my hpa tank or co2 tank(anyone of them). I heard tippmanns had that problem though.

CCM makes excellent cockers and they come with a lifetime warranty. The CCM S5 Semi is $375. You can order a bottomline with it for an extra $50 or order it seperately. I'm not very impressed with the Trilogy. First time I saw one I thought it was a crapo knockoff. I wouldn't get one. www.chipleymachine.com (http://www.chipleymachine.com)
