You know, you can use aol over your DSL connection. Go to the settings and setup a TCP connection.

If you use a phone line connection, AIM will still use it. You have to connect to the internet when using it.

What version are you trying to download? The new Triton?

even if u download aim ur still going to need some type of internet connection so if u have dial up u still will be tying up the phone lines

^^they are both right

as for the download try downloading it again because the file could have become corrupt during that. If you have some sort of web accelarator be sure to turn that off before you download it. And if its possible keep it off those things are more of a nuisance than a help.

If you are downloading the Triton AIM for ME, it will not work. The Triton AIM is only for Windows XP. Trust me, I have Windows 2000, and I tried downloading it. After the download finished the set up said it was for XP only.

Pfft skip out on a case of PBs and upgrade :P

Or try to find out more about Linux... there are some very good XP-ports and compatible/comparable programs and Linux is usually free

EDIT: And you can find pretty good (basic) computers for $300 with a monitor, look through your Sunday advertisement things :type:
