Flatlines are a pain to setup and are only nice in few very specific situations.
Just get a J&J Ceremic for now. You'll want a 'regular' barrel, trust me. Sooner or later you might find a Flatline is nice, but for now just spend the $40.

Ok, I've seen many, many, many 98 Customs, and here's what's my informed opinion is:
1. Barrel. J&J Ceremic's are one of my favoriutes. Smart Parts Progressives are great and Teardrops are almost as nice. CP's are great, but more pricey by a little. Lapco's are good. There's many, many options. I suggest 12 inches because they're long gun's stock and barrel length does NOT equal any better accuracy, just less shots per bottle at 285 fps.
2. Electronic hopper. A revvy should be fine, but I'd get a old Empire Reloader with the revvy type shells, instead. The Reloader 2 and Revvy are also a solid choice. The Evo 2 is too back heavy for a Tippy if you ask me, but that would work, too. A Reloader B and Halo B are both over kill, but I just might keep running my Halo on my Tippy because I just love Halo's so much and they don't even push past the ball stop.
3. R/T, unless you think you might get caught at a tournament with it. My Tippmann has never and will never see a tourney, so R/T it is. Good way to speed up the gun without always having to fix it. Simply set the R/T to max out the hopper and you'll have plenty of speed.
4. Double trigger. The GTA is fine, but I have a Toxic Performance double and it's sooooo much nicer having a metal trigger. I also much prefer the feel to the GTA.
5. Vertical adapter. You'll see what this is for with the next step.
6. HPA/nitrogen bottle. Make sure it's high pressure and carbon fiber. Crossfire makes some excellent options. At least a 68 in most cases, but if you play short games and are near the HPA fill a 45 might be enough. Bigger than 68 is gonna weigh you down and anything bigger than 88 you'll regret, trust me. See what the field you play at fills to. If it's 4500 psi, get a 4500 psi bottle. If it's 3000 psi, obviously get a 3000 psi.
7. Regulator. Now that you have a HPA tank you have a few more options, but the Palmer is still my choice here because it will work at the high pressure you need it to and you can always switch back to CO2 for play on a private field.
From here it's drops and such things that are soooooo personalistic I won't even touch them in great detail. One note on drops, though; bigger ISN'T better. I know is seems to make sense on a long gun like a Tippy to tuck the bottle down, but it kills your shouldering of the gun. I suggest a Pro Team Medium or comparable drop as the biggest you should go.
All the internal stuff is kind of a joke. Maybe a Pro Team front bolt and powertube, but that $25 could be used on paintballs, too.
That should be a good start.
