This topic is to discuss your first car. To all of you who are lucky enough to have a car, please post what your first car was/is, and post a pic if possible. To those of you who don't yet have a car or license (like me) post what you plan on getting or doing to it. I'm just kinda curious, and my Import Racing side is coming out again...

BTW I'll post my plans sometime later today...

Around June or July I get to start taking class's and stuff. I am hopeing to get a 1969-1972 Chevy Nova or Chevelle. There sooooo tight. Or maybe a Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged. I am starting to save for a car so I can buy one soon and restore it.

^My dad and I found a cheap used Nova for sale a while back. It was all beat up and we almost bought it to work on as a project, but my mom kept us from getting it.

I get to drive in about 2 years, so as of now I'm hoping to get an '05 Acura RSX, in either Black or Green. Green may sound ugly on an RSX, but I have tons of Ideas in my head. I also have them written down, and created (kinda) in Need for Speed Underground 2. I'll post them if I can find a way to get them on here...

Yea, they are pretty nice. I'm pretty sure they run around $20,000 new, but I'd definatly end up getting it used since it's my first car. There's no way I'll be paying that much for my first car. Stock w/ 201hp. It's also 30-something mpg.

my first car was/is a 79 vw bus that my dad gave me. there are pics in the ride pic thread (il add some to this post if im not lazy later). my plans are to completely strip the interior and carpet the entire thing with emerald carpet. already have the thing stripped, just need someone that knows how to carpet, and i need a small couch for the back. already have a pair of honda low-back seats that are going in the front. this summer (before anything), im gonna rebuild the engine, paint it, replace the windsheild and mirrors, and do some other needed work. by the end of the summer i hope to have a totaly pimped and kick-###### bus!

i also have an 89 ranger that im gonna drive while the bus is imobile, i already have a 2" lift for that, just needs to be installed. and maybe some other minor (schucks quality) mods, like a cheap sterio or something.

oh, and the little red car (chevy sprint for those that remember) i destroyed in my backyard doing revers doughnuts, then my brothers stupid ###### friend dropped a 10' 2x4 throught the windsheild, so that car is done. got my $200 outa it!

My first car was a 1987 Chevy Cruiser Classic. AKA a station wagon. Completely tricked out with my fake wood outsiding and fabric inside lining held up by 300+ staples.

haha, we had a chevy vega that was like that, all the fake wood on the outside was all worn off, so it was all white. we put a 390 with a tunnel ram in it, ###### that thing moved! we traded just the engine for a mustang 5.0, so we had to get rid of the rest of the vega... and we still ended up getting rid of the mustang later on.

I'm going to be 16 in a week and once I get my license I'll be driving my grandparents' 1988 or 89 Honda Accord. The cool thing is that it only has about 12,000 miles on it. All I have to pay for is general repairs like new battery perhaps.

I have a few prospects right now for my first car.
1.AE86: Theres something about them...I don't know, they just really appeal to me. theres a lime green Levin up the street that I've contemplated stealing a few times but as for aquiring on legally...thats a different story. Would be a fun car to take up and down Tantalus...Touge style.
2.Cressida: So utterly unstylish that they'er cool. More of a "scene" drift car.
3.S-13/S-14: Nice cars but a little bit too common around here. I'd give anything to have a RHD Silvia though.

You'll regret that... You can't drive a half way in the proscess restored car. I'd say get a car and then wait, you could probably get a crappy Nova or Chevell for around 5-7 grand.

As far as I know, to register a JDM automobile in the US, no steering conversion is necessary. I'd also like to know wher you sourced LHD parts seeing as how there are none.

AWD eh? Tell me how that works out .

TL;DR: I can't even begin to describe how full of ###### you are.

I know it can be done, but its not ideal for someone new to drifting.
