Is it safe/ok to fill a CO2 container up about a week befor it's shot, or should you always keep it empty untill you're ready to go shoot? Will it have the same effects even if its been sitting full for a week or two, or will it be less effective?

Thanks,
Dave

It isn't a problem as long as you store it in a cool place. A closet inside your house, etc. Just don't store them in your vehicle or anywhere that can raise in temp due to sunlight or exposure to any other heat source.

CO2 won't go bad, so there isn't anything you need to worry about. If you are going to leave your tank for an extended period of time (a few months) then it would be best to drain it for storage to save on the pin valve. But a couple weeks or even a month or two won't hurt anything.

heh I had a 20oz tank sitting in the trunk of my car for about 7 months and i took it out and dry shot my gun with it and like 3 paintballs (thats all i could get out of a 1000 case that had a few paintballs explode in it because the case was also in my trunk and the paint on the balls made parts of the ball really soft and able to be broken at the slightest touch)

Yeah.... Im kinda new to the game... I got a 20oz that's been attached to my gun for about 4 months... Is that safe? Should I dry shoot it to get rid of the CO2 before I take it off? Will it explode :( ? lol I'm being paranoid, but oh well, better to lose a few bucks worth of CO2 than to lose a limb... I want to take it off, but its still about 2/3 full, and I would like to keep the CO2, but if its at all dangerous, I'd rather drain it... Please tell me what is safe, whether its fine left on the gun, and if it's dangerous, what should I do to be safe. Thanks

lol don't worry nothing will happen. where the tank connects to your gun there should be a small pinhole on the outside that will release the gas so it doesn't shoot out of your hand. its better to take it off when you're not using it.

the reason for the air to leak out the hole and sides is because as you unscrew it the little point inside the connector is still pushing the pin in on the tank and so co2 is comming out of there as you unscrew it and the o ring can no longer contain it when its that far out of the connector. i was afraid at first too the first time i took it off i got the ###### scared out of me but its normal so nothing bad will happen

on my gun when i was modding it i broke the female part of the hose and so when i screwed the tank in the co2 started to leak out and my fingers were right on the part that broke and it was so friggin cold my fingers got semi numb. but good thing i had my original hose so i was able to not have to buy another one.

Do not leave your marker pressure. I suggest buying an On/off.

Get an on/off valve, it will save your O-ring on the tank, and when you shut off the tank or take it out 3/4 of the way shoot the CO2 out of the gun. When all of it is out it will sound like a three shot burst. That CO2 doesnt shoot of the tank, that is the CO2 left in the gun escaping, that is why you shoot it all out like above. otherwise you dint lose any CO2. just the extra in the gun

all u have to do after ur playing is take off the co2 just make sure u do not break the oring. the co2 should spray a lil when u take it off (thats normal) if u have a co2 cover put that on it and it should be fine.

like i said, before you fully remove the tank, amek sure it is about 3/4 of the way off. Then shoot the gun untill it does the three shot burst sounding shot. That is the CO2 that would come out of the tank screw. If you do that the CO2 wont spray out like that
