The bolt is what pushes the paintball out of the breech as it is fired. An aftermarket bolt can increase efficiency and sometimes accuracy, especially if it creates a good seal inside the gun, while still being able to move smoothly. In some cases, like with the Kingman ACS bolt, it can also prevent chopping. Bolts made of delrin can also slide more smoothly and are self lubricating. Delrin bolts can swell with different temperatures or if they get wet, however. Do your homework on different styles and materials of bolts before you get one. A new bolt is a good upgrade, but probably one of the later ones you should get. Get a barrel, electro hoppper, regulator, etc., and then get an aftermarket bolt later if you feel you need one, or you think it will improve your gun. Hope this helps. :)

you also need a highflowing bolt for a spyder when switching to low pressure
