I am new to paintball and looking to buy my own marker. Right now i am just shopping around checking out marker prices and upgrade prices. I am pretty sure that the rodeo is the one i want...it seemed like a decent price ($108 is what ive found so far) and i havent heard anything bad about kingmans yet. If i get the rodeo what upgrades would ya'll recomend? or should i start with something else? From the few times i've played before, i've realized that i want a fairly light weight marker thats easy to maneuver with (either speed or crawling on my belly to outflank someone  that was fun) ...i've been laying with a spyder emarker...AMG i think and an m16 (which was way too heavy for what i want although i really did appreciate the range...) I am willing to spend from 150 to 300 total for the marker and upgrades, thats not including co2, paintballs, or a mask...So does anyone have any ideas for me?

Thanks for any ideas ahead of time

Karen

A GOOD mask comes first after that,

Barrel, Hopper, Reg, Bolt, E-frame(optional). Get N2 asap.

First, after that mask thingy, A CP barrel, a palmers reg, and a revvy. then N2

I say go with the rodeo. cheap gun and then you can get for upgrades, unless you like something that can shoot faster than 3-4bps then go with an elctronic gun. first you should get a barrel. i have a teardrop which is a great barrel for cheap. just get paintballs that match the bore and it is unstoppable. i dont know if u will like the little drop on it but if u dont a bigger one might give you a better feel. a agitated hopper will produce less ball breaks. you wont need a really good hopper if you get that rodeo, something cheap like a 9v or 12v revvy. after that a regulator is a good upgrade. if you use CO2 the palmer stabilizer is the best but really spendy, around $90. i have a bob long torpedo which works fine if you dont shoot too fast. but you can fix the liquid from the CO2 with an anti-siphon tube for pretty cheap at a shop. i dont think you will need N2 not if ur planning on just spending up to $300 all together. and with a low end marker it not really neccesary.

If you get a new reg for the rodeo you will need a new vertical adapter, because the stock VA uses set screws instead of a screw in regulator, N2 will make your gun more consistant, thats why its recommended for any gun

just my thoughts, if she is new to paintball she might just want to get the gun itself, then try it out and see for herself what she wants to put on it. although the stuff you guys named really IS what you want tho... :D
