Pump play is in a totally different class than semi play. The challenge, the skill, the adrenaline... all totally different. The only thing I could suggest is picking up a cheap BE Blade and give it a go with your friends... you may be surprised at how much your game improves after a few rounds of pumping ;)

First a counter question.

Why buy a marker at all?

I went back to a pump for finacial reasons. I couldn't afford 75$ a day my semis would run on the average day of play. I went to SC to save even more money. I am at the point I preffer SC play. I spend less than $20 a day, can still compete if not dominate on a walk on field even with the local talent showing up (I would play tournies if the time and money were available. I might even use a semi. :D ) and I am a bit of history on the field. Alot of new players haven't seen someone play with a pump and most don't have a clue about SC. It is a learning opportunity for them all the way around. I break out the paint slingers every once in awhile, but, pump/SC is my prefferred game.

It has also improved my game. I am much better at reading a field and thinking through my game. We can't emphasize that enough.

Why buy a pump?
To show that you don't need a new fancy marker to over shoot people and to save money

Who can pay everyday?

My reason for going with the cheapest route was based on having to justify every expense when I had a family to take care of. Living is not cheap if you wish to keep up with the American standard and you are living on barely a middle class income.

Why buy a marker? was aimed more towards the philisophical aspect than the physical. You buy it to play and enjoy. You buy a marker (no matter which type) to play and enjoy. That is the real reason to buy a pump. It is the real reason to buy any marker or item that is not essential to your existence.

I like pumps since it makes u aim and shoot unlike other guns........even though I have an ion , I still respect those who have pumps.........

also pumps force you to use accuracy which could be a very good training tool!!!!!!!!!!!1

I have a tendency to ignore any posts in this forum that start out "I don't realy like pumps" or anything like that. I just wonder why they post or even look in here.

Damn straight FT. Back to the topic. Pumps are cheaper and require another higher level of skill to use them effectively against all of those highspeed muppet mowers.
