what were they thinking?!?! I'm so lost.

Edit: I see now. W T F is turned into what were they thinking. That is sooooo gay. Why can't we say W T F. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's better than us saying what the hell/######.

i agree ...come on guys its the internet, porn, violence, swearing, and other inapproapate things at every turn but they stop us from saying w t f

whats the point. If parents dont want their kids seeing w t f, then there is no chance in hell their gonna let them use the internet

Actually, if they don't want their kids to see w t f then they shouldn't let them learn how to spell, read or even the alphabet for that matter.

It's not saying what the ######, it's saying three simple letters, w t f. Some one took time out of their day to actually block w t f, how sad is that. I will agree that it's sad that we're talking about it too, but c'mon. Why w t f?

even the word itself is not so bad... to quote eric cartman... "What's the big deal? It doesn't hurt anybody. ######-f##kety-######-######-######".

first off the ironmen section is not missing... second of all this site is funded through the companies that choose to advertise on this site. if the PC world decries that those three letters are offensive, then there is the reason.

if you feel that you have to curse on a public website whether it is the initials or by the word itself, get off this site. we don't force this site upon you so do not bring up the rights of the first amendment. they are void here.

navysealguy
01-24-2006, 07:34 PM
1st off young the amendments are not something that can be turned on and off like a light. just because we're not forced here doesn't mean we lose the ability to express ourselves.
2nd off w t f can be banned because it is considered common knowledge to be a swear word, or in this case a reference to a swear word.(btw something is considered common knowledge when 90% of adults know it) The first amendment offers no protection for words that are unnessecarily slanderous or oppressive. that is basiclly why you can't go to school with a swastika on your chest as well.

1st off You checked the "i agree to these terms" button when you first registered on this site. There for you have no rights what so ever. If i wanted to change your password i could and you could do anything about it but piss and moan.
2nd off the mvp logo in your avatar space is pretty funnt, never seen a fake mvp member. congratulations, you are a loser.

maldon007

1. you have no rights to do anything on someone elses bandwidth... it aint yours... 2. its not freedom of anything, its them being nice enough to let you say a few words.

example: if i let you put a sign for your business in my yard... & you put foul language on it... am i now handcuffed by the constitution not to remove it??? thats retarded, this is only a "public" forum because the owners let it be... we (members) are owed nothing but what is promised.... & even that i wouldnt push.

as to banning... eh, maby not... but recognize his sillyness.

jimmy2222
01-25-2006, 10:22 AM
ooooohhhh :duh: its in the "nxl" zone rofl, i said i dont care about W T F i just thought that it was dumb that you had to darn that one too, oh well. just delete this topic, btw i say nay on bannage.

navysealguy
01-25-2006, 05:03 PM
1st is say nay to banning, second off swear words aren't protected under the constitution. the Hertz(sp?) Law actually makes prosecution of swearing legal, ie. i can kick someone off of my field for swearing, but someone could bring charges up against you for banning someone for no reason and not allowing them to make a new i.d. and start over. and again i repeat, nay to bannage.

(please?)
as for the fake mvp, i have a lot of time on my hands after cancer treatments so its better that i steal a logo than crash the site. (which i wouldn't do because then i'd have even more free time.......what i should do is crash pbnation!)

towards anyone who thinks they can go on a forum owned by others & say anything they want & have immunity from punishmet or removal because of the first amendment.... the owners of this site may kick you off for whatever reason they like... at any time... they choose to have rules and follow them, but they are not bound by them anyway.... you may be banned for saying "dog" if they like & you have no legal recourse. the first amendment protects your right to speak... not to be heard.

dynastyfan

Navy you agreed to the rules when you signed up to the forum. Any thing that is deemed offenseive can be removed from this forum. Your first amendment right to say an offensive word is NOT aplicable here. So shut up and change your sig.

Wow.. How did I miss this wonderful topic??? It just so happens that I had recently studied the constitution in school. This is pretty interesting. I'm glad to see public schoolers(except for navy, who apperently skipped that class) learning it too!

mat_890
01-26-2006, 02:44 PM
i wouldent ban him, he spoke his mind and you shut him down...as long as he stops its ok but banning for speaking his mind....makes a certain internt phrese come to mind, which im afrede to post here

as for the fake mvp, he copyed and pasted it...he dident hack the site or anything and if he really wanted to he could do alot worse

navy is amatuer at best. Did any of you see what happened to pbstar alittle while back. that took me a long time.

By the way it seems like navy just said swear words aren't protected by the constitution.

But then again what do i know, i only have a few posts right?

btw, Young, you should but a clause in the terms of use agreement that says you can ban a person for no reason at all. this type of thing happened on airlines and now pilots can kick people of a plane for "any reason or no reason". that means they can't be sued.

My internet safety is in jeopardy. Navy shut up. I bet someone would laugh if you tried sueing an admin or mod for banning you. MVP is for people who actually pay. Stupidity is not currency.
